In summary

Fox Run Golf Course is frequently praised for its friendly staff, affordable pricing, and suitability for beginners, with many noting the course's recent improvements in condition. The course layout is straightforward with few hazards, making it less punishing for errant shots, and it is appreciated for its relaxed atmosphere. However, some visitors have mentioned that the greens can be inconsistent and hard, and there are occasional maintenance issues such as drainage problems and the need for more work on certain fairways and tee boxes.

Low cost, fun golf course. No sand traps and little water to claim your golf ball, but plenty of trees and brush on some holes. Staff is friendly and a reserved tee time is only required on the weekends. Grounds have been improved over the last year. Several tee boxes still have depressions that should be filled in and the greens are painfully hard in the fall, but it is decent entertainment for the cost.

I'm not a great player, but I like this course pretty well. The staff has always been great. The greens do need a bit of work, but they look like they're working on improving them. For the price, not a bad place for beginners at all, but I think they just went up on green fees a little bit recently.

Very friendly staff and friendly players on the course. Greens could use a bit of work, but it's a great course for beginners. I am not great at golf yet, but I enjoyed this course very much. Watch out for the water in front of 8...i didn't see it until my chip up to the green went splash! You'll see it on the map, I just didn't look at this one since it was shorter. Good prices on gently used golf balls too.

I just played this course today with my Son. This was my Son's first time playing golf with me, and a first for both of us playing at this course. Coming out of Spring the fairways and greens are in better shape than expected, but still improving. We only chose to play nine holes, due to time constraints, but if I had known how lite the fairway traffic would be on a Wednesday at 11a.m., we could have easily played a full eighteen holes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the fact that they were watering several greens and fairways at noon. We had to bypass three fa…

Nice little course... not fancy but in good shape and nice people running it. They let you bring your own coolers on the course and don't give you any hassles. A lot to be said for that as many golf courses want to micromanage you with rules.

We love this course for walking, except after walking 17 holes there is a small, but fairly steep, hill to climb going to 18th tee. There are no sand traps, but there are some water hazards. There are enough trees between fairways that you might easily find one in your way if your tee shot is errant. Some holes have thick wooded areas adjacent to the fairway. You don't want to go looking for your ball in there because of the abundant poison ivy. At least three areas have drainage issues. With the rain we had this spring and summer, we often found ourselves slopping through mud or water. Not a…

Cheapest golf around huntsville. Greens are small but are in good shape. Most of the fairways are good. 16s fairway needs help. 11s green needs help. If you are looking for a golf course that does not penalize you when you make a bad shot this the one to go to. Great for beginners in that since. Still challenging for seasoned golfers. Not as pretty as the challenging golf courses, with treed fairways, but this course is perfect for those working on their games.

Very green, nice, rather busy, which while golfing is usually a negative, but it seems to mean to me that Its well liked -as it was my first time there, and my first time golfing- but the bathroom wasn't very nice at all, run down, not overly clean. Overall not a bad experience but that might have been dependant on the people I was with

I love playing at Fox Run. I have played it enough to know where to attempt to lay up at and how to play my shots. My only complaint is just that as the season progresses into October and November, I wish they would lower their pricing some. Great course and great people at any rate.

This course is in excellent shape. The fairways are immaculate, and the greens looked fantastic. The only problem I had with the course was that the greens were super slow. It looked and putted like the greens hadn't been cut in several days

Very friendly staff: nice short course; good play: fairways & greens are in great shape. I play at Fox Run regularly. The greens have made a dramatic come back from earlier this year.

Great course and great people. The course is in great shape. The grounds crew does a fantastic job keeping it that way. The staff at Fox Run are some of the nicest people you will ever encounter. I highly recommend this course.
