In summary

Francisco Grande Resort & Golf Club is appreciated for its historic charm, friendly staff, and accommodating service, particularly for events and meetings. Guests enjoy the food and the nostalgic atmosphere, with some praising the well-maintained soccer fields and golf course layout. However, there are recurring criticisms about the outdated facilities, inconsistent golf course conditions, and lack of complimentary breakfast, which some feel detracts from the overall value of the stay.

We recently hosted our 100-Year celebration at Francisco Grande, and the experience was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious and received many compliments from our guests. Michelle was incredibly helpful and responsive every step of the way—from taste testing, to planning, to ensuring the event was executed perfectly. She was truly a pleasure to work with. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and very receptive to feedback and suggestions, making sure everything was carried out exactly how we envisioned. Cindy was also on-site assisting with setup and ensuring the event flowe…

This place would’ve been great about 40-50 years ago, is the original review. After hearing the management’s response, I believe I missed the heartbeat of this place. This historic gem at the Francisco Grande feels like a delightful stroll down memory lane, evoking the slower, more relaxed pace of 40–50 years ago when life moved at a gentler rhythm and baseball spring training carried that special mid-century magic. If you love the San Francisco Giants, stepping onto what was once their original spring training grounds is pure nostalgia—rich with genuine baseball history from the era of legen…

This was my second stay at the resort in conjunction with the annual Arizona Golf Classic. I stayed an extra night this year and was so happy I did. From check-in, to the pro shop, to the staff at Dukes, everyone was gracious and helpful. The food and drinks were great. My room was clean and very quiet, which is always a plus. I hope to visit more than once a year in the future!

I recently attended a lunch meeting in the "Eagle's Nest". The food and the service was outstanding. In addition, it was a great location for a meeting as the view from the top floor let us see the entire region.

Played golf here today and feel completely ripped off. They seem to have stopped maintaining the course and with this reality charged a silly premium for practice balls. Use your heads and at least try to entice people back. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

They had just overseated, so the course wasn't in great condition. It was definitely long but fun. I will probably try it again once they clean up the course. However, we had breakfast at the restaurant and the food was amazing! Large portions and quite tasty.

I’ve only been to Francisco Grande for the soccer fields, for my son’s games, and it’s always a great experience. The fields are well-kept, and the whole place has a really nice, welcoming environment. My boyfriend has also golfed here and said it’s a really nice course. I haven’t eaten here myself, but many of my clients have told me the food is great—definitely on my list to try! ⚽️ ⛳️

A local muni course that can be slight fun for the price you pay if it’s in its usual mediocre version of being taken care of. The course closed 06.01, and has reopened recently all too early in order to make a grab at your money. Mud everywhere, Grass hasn’t grown in places over the fairway despite closing for over 2 months for “overseed.” If you book now, The course will warn you of the largest mosquito population you will find, as well as that the course is cart path only. Our group was okay with this. They fail to warn you, despite being finished with “overseed” they have not mowed the…

Well first off, it’s in the middle of no where. The building, rooms and nearly everything inside the rooms is completely out-dated. The thermostat would kick on the ac when I had the heat turned on. The “fitness center” is a joke as the machines were broken down, some taken apart and the broken pieces were just laying on the floor which is dangerous and a hazard. Also, for the $530 bucks I paid for a few nights, the fact that there was no continental breakfast is insane. I would NOT recommend this hotel, and I would never stay here again…

The hotel was out in the middle of nowhere. It is extremely dated and very old. The outlets were not working properly. Our toilet and bathtub would not drain properly. Would not recommend.

My review was more about the waiter Andrew Car than the restaurant. We were in the bar and he was most accommodating. We had a birthday celebration and it was a very nice experience. He catered to us above and beyond. We took a cake and he refrigerated it for us and brought us plates and silverware and took pictures of us for us and was so sweet. We love him. The food was good but I wouldn't go back just for the food. I would go back for the service. It was beyond spectacular. Thank you so much Andrew. You are truly the best server I have ever had. And I'm old. Lol

The golf course is in poor condition. They only charged $60.00 but that might be a stretch on the value. Many better courses nearby that offer a much better conditioned course.
