In summary

Furnace Brook Golf Club in Quincy is frequently praised for its well-maintained, challenging 9-hole course and the scenic, hilly layout that offers great views. The newly renovated clubhouse and friendly staff are also highlighted as positive features. However, some visitors feel the course is overpriced for its size and have noted limited public play times and a challenging membership requirement for securing tee times.

A hidden gem in Quincy. This 9 hole course is always in unexpectedly good shape and will challenge most golfers despite the lack of long holes. The new clubhouse is a great upgrade and the food mirrors The Fours in Quincy Center. Great spot.

The Loft at Furnace Brook is gorgeous. Newly constructed, opened in April 2025. Beautiful design, perched high great views of Quincy and the water. Awesome addition to the city. Great Caesar salad.

Small course, but beautifully maintained. Semi-private, so limited times for the public to play. They were maintaining the greens while we played, but that didn’t bother us. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

This place is great. The staff are very friendly. The course is well maintained. They're currently building a new club house. If you're a beginner looking for a challenge, this is a fun course. I recommend renting a cart if you have bad knees/cardio as it is very hilly. Otherwise, a great hike for the walking golfer.

Decent patch, many hills to score Believe, that although a small course - it must be fun playing golf here.

Fun course, nice modern electric carts. Lots of hills and valleys that provide more than your average 9 hole and pace of play was smooth. Edit: Now they have a ridiculous membership requirement to get a decent tee time. So continues the decline of golf in the Boston area.

$55 for nine and a cart at this place is a total rip off. Built in and around a massive hill so about two thirds of your shots are just blindly hit in a general direction. Nowhere near nice enough to justify paying these rates. Won’t be coming back.

Great condition, challenging greens! I always walk but be prepared for those hills. Way over priced, not friendliest staff.
