In summary

Gibson Woods Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout, and friendly, accommodating staff, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The course offers a good mix of risk-reward holes and is supported by a well-equipped clubhouse with a pro shop and snack bar. One of the best local courses. Very good greens. Nice clubhouse and friendly staff. Good food also. I drive to there from Mt Pleasant, IA pretty often. It's worth the trip.

The golf course itself is actually really fun. The only con to going there is the members are complete asshats. We had a group of 4 golfing and let a group of 2 play through. We watched them for 20 minutes look for their ball and before we could even hit a staff member came out and said if we don't play quicker and they get another call then we would be kicked off the course without refund because there were other groups waiting. We explained the situation and they said that they paying members that golf there daily and we were guests. 33 years old, I've been golfing for 20 and I've never had…

Great municipal course. Shorter course that makes you play to the right distances. Fun because some of the par 4's are reachable. Great risk reward course. Nice driving range to warm up at or get some reps in.

Amenities were well arranged at the Club House and staff was corteuos and prompt. The course itself was wonderful, however, I would have definitely enjoyed it more if it had been in slightly better condition. The cart paths were atrocious and the flowers and decorations looked like they could use some R&R. Otherwise a great course and I would still recommend!

Well manicured, easy to get tee time, and staff makes you feel like they appreciate their customers! The course has trees and interesting/challenging holes! Nice to find some shade occasionally on hot, summer days! Price for a round are very reasonable!!!

Have not played for years. But a fun play. Will play it again. Great club house and the people were friendly.

Has potential but has to be the WORSE MAINTAINED GOLF COURSE I’ve played in after my first time playing all 18. There are no staff out there in sight and the leaves all over the fairway and green will ensure you lose a pack of balls during this time of year. For the rate they charge, you would think they can at least afford a leaf blower/vacuum.

Great 18 hole golf course + Randy Briggs (club pro) and staff always make you feel welcome. Course offers driving range & putting green to sharpen your skills. Club house holds pro shop with merchandise and great snack bar (19th hole if you wish). Great food, good time and tight fairways making a great combination for awesome golf experience.
