In summary

Glen Mar Golf & Country Club, now known as Stittsville Golf Course, is praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, offering a variety of challenging holes suitable for all skill levels. The course is noted for its reasonable pricing and friendly staff, with improvements in grounds maintenance since the change in ownership. However, some visitors have experienced issues with customer service and occasional slow pace of play, which have affected their overall experience.

A gem of a course just outside of Stittsville on Fernbank road, nothing too strenuous but beautifully manicured with several tight drives between tree-lined fairways. The course will provide a challenge for all levels of golfer and is quickly becoming my favourite course in the area.

In very good condition for such an early spring. Fairways are great and green are amazing. Very open course, good for high hcpers like me.

The course was moving at a good pace today. Finished 18 holes in about 4 hours. Well spaced out between groups.

*4.5 stars. I play here fairly often and it’s become one of my favourites. Played here a few times when it was ‘Glen Mar G&CC’; new owners have definitely cleaned it up since those days. Greens that used to be shitty, are now well manicured. Nice chill course, no grumpy marshals 👍🏻. Staff are friendly. Carts have ball/club cleaners which is a plus. Reasonably priced, quality public course.

First time playing here since the change from Glenmar to Stittsville Golf Course. Grounds maintenance has definitely improved, and the price for either 9 or 18 are some of the most reasonable considering the proximity to the city. The Course layout is flat as a pancake but there is good variety with some dog legs, split fairway, lengthy par 4s etc. It is strange that not one ball washer exists on the course, pretty basic amenity, even cottage courses have these. The grey rubbermaid garbage cans strapped to the post could easily be swapped to something more please to improve the aesthetic of th…

Great course and nice greens but terrible staff and no cart “person” in site for the whole 18 holes in 35 degree weather so that was great 👎

Course has improved a lot. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Tee boxes need work but the course is layed out nicely and they have add some bunkers on a couple of holes that make it challenging. Booked through golf now so found the value well worth it. We went out at 6 pm last 2 holes it was dark and place was closing up, went and asked if we could get a beer and they served us one after they were closed and the 2 fellas chatted with us about the round and the course. Most courses wouldn't get you a beer that late. Definitely will be back!

A couple tee boxes could use some love, understandably from frequent use if you're playing from whites. Otherwise the course is in perfect shape. Rough is long and thick, healthy green grass fairways, can actually take a proper divot unlike most courses in the area that have baked in the sun. Greens cut low and rolled to a fast finish. No dead brown grass spots anywhere. Awesome course!

Always a fun track to play. Many different types of holes. Each with their own unique challenge but always fun!

Pretty nice course but the person at the pro shop can perhaps learn some customer service skills. I booked a tee time through golf now. It was a prepaid deal. When I arrived at the pro shop, I informed the staff member that I booked through the golf now. Without any further communication, he asked me to pay $45. I politely informed him that I booked through golf now to which the staff member snapped back and said - you can argue all you want but it will be $45. He might be having a bad day but that doesn't mean you start snapping at customers. I see a prepaid deal at golf now every day from th…
