In summary

Glen Meadows Golf & Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff and reasonable pricing, making it an attractive option for beginners and those seeking a nostalgic experience. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's poor maintenance and condition, with overgrown grass and unkempt fairways and greens being frequent complaints. The course's potential is noted, but its current state and reports of closure have disappointed several patrons.

Nice place for a round. The course was a bit soggy but to be expected in March. The price was excellent and I will definitely be back!

The course is in rough shape. The layout is nice, however conditions are less then desirable. Fairways and greens that look like a backyard and are really not well kept. Have played 3 times, and prefer the extra 5-15 dollars to play other courses on the island that have fantastic conditions. It is too bad because they layout I found enjoyable.

I went here a few days ago (June 6, 2019) and it is no longer a golf course. Grass has grown over everything, which is about 2 feet tall. No one there, but can't play it anyways. Someone should go take some of the rodos and other nice plants, the place is completely deserted. Too bad, moved here in 2017 and was going to join, but the following spring it was sold and shut down

I'm hesitant to review this golf course as I like it here and do not want to say anything bad. But I will say it is great value and awesome exercise as the track is about 10 kms long. The downside is the condition of the course. You can literally hit the fairway off a tee shot and lose your ball inbounds. You can imagine how frustrating that is. Other than the condition being poor at times it is definitely worth checking out.

I have to agree with Laporte. The overall condition of this course was pretty bad. Greens are as bad as I have ever seen them anywhere, most of the course isn't watered so the grass is just dead. I should have known not to expect much for $25, but with the condition it's in, I wouldn't pay over $15 for 18 holes. Makes Mt Doug golf course look like Pebble Beach!

Worst golf course I have ever played at! The conditions were were horrible. I must have lost 10 balls that landed IN the fairway. To top it off, our cart died on the 8th hole. Do not waste your money.

It has been closed for a very long time. Nothing on site is open. Previous to closing it was poorly cared for by whoever purchased it. They obviously weren’t planning on running it as a golf course and curling rink. Minimal upkeep. Sad to see a once beautiful golf course in such ruins.

It's a dump. But ... I'm giving it 5 stars because I like nostalgia. This once great course has fallen on hard times but it's still fun to play and it's very reasonable. Pick your times. It's seldom busy but in the wet weather it's a bog and in the spring it's hard to find your ball for the un-mown daisies. I wish someone would buy this place and breath some new life into it. It's for sale BTW.

I had left my range finder and a small bag in my golf cart. I noticed they were missing about a week after. I called the course and left a message that they were missing. Robin called me back and mentioned that they found my items. I had Fedex to pick up the items. Robin went out of his way to assist. He printed off Fedex bills, informed staff about the pick up and went that extra mile. Thank you Robin.

I want to compliment the Glen Meadows Kitchen for a wonderful lunch provided today for our Saanich Peninsula Hospital Auxiliary. Everything was nicely prepared, set up and enjoyed by all those attending. I hope I find the same experience at the next event I attend that is providing the same menu.

Like playing a cow pasture. Tee boxes and fairways are not mowed, greens are in bad shape and it's too bad because the course has great potential, too bad ownership doesn't care. A $20 Course that charges more than double that.

We golf 18 hole and this was the worst place I ever golf. It is like a cow pasture that was made into a golf course. It is unattractive, it is in very bad shape and the greens are horrible. I would never, never play there again and wouldn't recommend it. Aug. 2013
