In summary

The Golf Club at Timber Trails receives praise for its friendly staff, affordability, and unique features such as a disc golf course and night golf. However, many visitors express significant concerns about the course's condition, citing overgrown fairways, poorly maintained greens, and inadequate cart paths. While some appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and challenging layout, others feel the course requires substantial improvements to justify its cost.

The pros: The golf carts are much nicer than before. The cons: The course is in worst condition than I’ve ever seen it. The fairways and roughs are overgrown. Cart paths are dirt pig trails, and the greens are an absolute joke. Do not waste your money. You can play much nicer courses in Alexandria for $5-10 more dollars.

Long 21 hole disc golf course, and there are carts!!! Nice array of varied shots. The owners are amazing people.

My favorite place to play. You can actually relax and enjoy the game and time on the course. Instead of having to play at a quick pace. I play with family and friends and it's about spending time doing something we like to do and enjoy. Yeah it's a little rough but that makes it more of a challenge. Adam the new owner is a good guy and he's trying to fix it up. But it takes time.

I used to love this course and hope that the new owners actually make some positive changes. Today when I played though, the course was unplayable. The fairways were overgrown, the greens were sandy, bumpy, slow, and unpredictable. The tee boxes are poorly marked and lack coordination from hole to hole. The carts are nice, however the cart paths are not. Good luck folks.

absolutely terrible someone needs to at least cut the grass i cant tell the difference between the rough and the fairways i would even go as far as saying the rough looks like the greens. do not play and honestly i wouldnt play it if it was free and they ask for way to much to play probably the worst course in america. disappointing

Not a real golf course. The fairways are just where they mow the grass once a year. The greens were installed 150 years ago and have not been maintained since. Yet, they want to charge the same as 18 hole courses in town.

Course is unplayable. Such a waste of time and money. Fairways are straight sand, tee boxes are rock solid couldn’t even get a tee in, and greens have moles digging holes, full of weeds and dead grass. Flags aren’t even in the holes just lying on the green. This place needs to shut down or be free to play. Wasn’t worth damaging clubs. Would give 0 stars if possible.

It's under new ownership now. Adam McCoy and his team are working hard to restore the greens and clean up the course. It's a beautiful place. The prices are reasonable. Please come play a round of golf and enjoy the scenery.

This is the worst place I have ever tried to play. It’s unplayable. It should close until they get it 100% better. 37$ is ridiculous. After trying to play it. They refunded me 20 bucks. Don’t waste your time to drive out there.
