Went to seminar with Dr. Herbert with Tru Life. Enjoyed the seminar. Also loved the meal served by the Chef Debbie. Excellent roasted beef, green beans, potatoes, green salad main dish 😋. For dessert cheesecake with caramel 😋. Excellent night at the Wings.

A good fun golf course. Staff is friendly and the course is in decent condition. Good design and a fun track to play. The greens are actually great as are almost all the fairways. Many tee boxes had no grass, even with overseed, just covered with sand. Same with some ares around the greens. No grass, or weeds only a few feet off the green and in an area that should be fairway cut. The course is still very palyable if you avoid these areas or play them as ground uner repair, which they should be marked as. The worst are the bunkers. Lumps of red clay, looked like that haven't been raked in year…

Robert Randow is an outstanding assistant golf pro. He’s incredibly attentive and goes out of his way to ensure each customer feels seen and supported. Whether it’s offering advice on the range or just checking in to make sure everything is going smoothly, Robert always brings a personable and friendly approach that makes a lasting impression. His attention to detail and genuine care for the experience of others set him apart. You can tell he really enjoys what he does—and it shows.

This is a great golf course from the parking lot to the 18th green. Very well maintained, tees for every player, excellent clubhouse staff, high quality carts to keep you on the paths, and many many memorable holes. The greens are perfect. They are lightning quick and true. I wish my putter skills could do them justice. This is a high end course on a budget price and they welcome all skill levels. Oakwing is awesome.

Course was fabulous, staff was kind and helpful, and the grounds were manicured. I took my two sons to play as it was one of their birthdays. After the 9th hole we ran into the clubhouse to get some waters. We came right back out to tee off on 10 and there were 3 lady’s approaching 9 to putt. They started screaming at us that we can’t jump ahead of them and tee off on 10. I told them we had been ahead of them all morning and just grabbed some waters. They continued fussing about being members, etc. etc. After a few minutes of us being berated, I just said play on thru ladies. Then after they h…

Not a terrible course, could definitely use some maintenance. Fairways are like rock and no care for the grass, don't even try to take a divot, most of the bunkers are solid no sand, and the greens are fast! Also the carts are all controlled so just stick to the 90° rule and away from the greens

The staff was very nice. Food was good. The greens were perfect., rolled true and fast. Fairways were ok, they could be a little better. Worth the trip and will play again if in the area.

Took a golf trip playing Audubon golf trail starting from Cypress Bend going East. Cypress Bend should not be on this trail and was beyond disappointed. Second day was Oakwing and could not have enjoyed our time here more. Awesome people, awesome layout and awesome time! Start here if your coming out of Texas and skip Cypress Bend!!!

Horrible maintenance. Plant litter all over fairways. Greens are weak and lack proper care. A lot of barren spots. Bunkers are washed out and not properly maintained. Great location inside an old Air Force base. Layout is decent. A lot of space between each hole. Some places have to double back, easy to get lost. Not a good place for the serious golfer.

Wonderful course with fast greens. Very fun and interesting layout. Plenty of trouble off the tee with bunkers and water that come into play on several holes. Last time I played my tee shots found several fairway bunkers so bring your straight game. Go for placement instead of length off the tee on the trouble holes. The front nine tends to wind its way through what appears to be some old buildings from the old air force base. Always really enjoy playing here.

Great course. ..super fast, but true greens. Lots of character. Would have gotten a better review if i hadn't come up on a group of 6 that never acknowledged my presence to play thru for 4 holes. Then when I finally skipped them. ...I ran into another group of 5....2 holes later. I don't know if lrg grps are typical here or not. But, come on folks, be courteous to smaller or quicker golfers. And the pro shop needs to let a single know that he might run into a couple large groups. Update....2017-07-30.... still got folks that don't understand pace of play. Just rude to be honest.
