In summary

The Golf Club of Estrella is frequently praised for its beautiful course layout, well-maintained fairways, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. Many appreciate the challenging yet enjoyable golfing experience set against the picturesque backdrop of the Estrella mountains. However, some reviews highlight issues such as inconsistent bunker conditions, occasional slow pace of play, and service challenges at the clubhouse, which may detract from the overall experience for some golfers.

Course is in awful shape right now. Bunkers are unplayable and many are filled with standing water (not from the recent rain). Greens have multiple dead spots with a very large one on the back of 18. Fairways obviously haven’t been cut in a while. Paying anything over $50 to play here is robbery. Service from the outside staff was good but head pro Jon Taylor really showed his true colors in how he runs a course. Very much on a power trip and at one point said to me “I’m the head pro, I can do whatever I want”.

I enjoyed this 18 hole course. The fairways and tees are in great shape. The driving range and practice area is amazing. The staff is over the top friendly. You can make the course as difficult as you want based on the set of tees you play. I highly recommend this course.

This clubhouse and staff are terrible. Whomever this clown is at the register literally has no idea how to operate the cash register. It literally... i mean seriously took 15 minutes to pay for my round. The incompetency is astounding. The BATHROOMS ARE CLOSED! The clubhouse does not noffer a place to release your morning glory. Pkus, we got RAW sausages at the turn!! Omg, i couldnt believe it. Ill never play here again.

My friends and I definitely want to go back. It's not in our put in a rotation rate though. But if you're are the same as us and look for a better course than the standard public this is worth money and drive to get there. The course is beautiful. It is set to be challenging but you can definitely score on it. We were a little disappointed it was still cart path only and had left out push carts. Ended up walking more.

Such a great course!! Played yesterday and fairways lush, tee boxes perfect, bunkers great, greens are running strong 10-11 on the stimp. Staff went above the norm to make sure we had everything we needed and quickly 👍 paid $75 for a 1:20pm tee time and finished with minutes to spare.. pace was 4 hours

Definitely the best neighborhood course ever!!! All the tee boxes, fairways, and greens are in perfect condition, the best part is that the fairways are still greenish during winter time, no wonder people always come to Phoenix during winter for golfing. We played the front 9 with cloudy sky, but when the sun came out when we're playing Hole 8, the ambience of the entire course got elevated right away!!! Love the scene of Hole 12 the most, the Prosopis pallida right by the green, with the shadow created by the sunset, just like a poet.

Beautiful course in the Estrella mountains that is a championship course at a PGA challenge. Plus every Friday evening on the patio with firepits going. There's karaoke, food, and drinks. FUN TIME!!!

Great facilities, staff was flexible and getting groups off with little backing up at the tees. Beautiful area, beautiful course overall. Will definitely look to play again next visit.

Fun course and good summer rates as a resident of Estrella. Some interesting holes, including fun finishing holes with 16-18. Usually in really good shape and a nice staff, but they still need to get some real sand in the bunkers.

Love this course! The Staff were excellent and gave great tips for a first time dessert golfer. Challenging and fun. The 17th par 3 . Good food and drinks. Definitely would recommend this course.
