Villa de Paz Golf Course

Still rather sad that this course was shut down. But for what it's worth, it was our home course and was hands down the best course for your money ever. Some of the toughest holes and many memories were made here... I don't know who the new owners are that decided to shut this place down and only tell their employees or customers 4 days in advance are... But I wish them an eternity of paper cuts, I hope they are missing socks every day, may they have flat tires when they really need to get somewhere, and when they tear down the course I hope they unearth an ancient curse that befalls upon them…

I agree with the other reviews. This is the worse, ugliest, dirtiest course I have ever played at. I felt like I was in a ghetto. The bathroom on the course was disgusting. We had to have our friends stand in front of the bathroom door for protection. The barking dogs on the course were cute. The couple walking on the course not so cute. We almost hit them. I will spend more money next time.

Course is in horrible shape, I understand that the rates are low, but its as if the place doesnt water. They pack people in like sardines. 4 hours to play 12 holes. We left after 12. Every hole had a wait time of 15 minutes to tee off. Total mismanagement on spreading out tee times. Just ridiculous! Will never play here again.

2 stars for an excellent price through the height of Snow Bird season and the attitude of the man working in the Pro Shop. Unfortunately, once one's feet hit the cart path, the conditioning of the course proves why the price is so low, even in Arizona's high season. There is more dirt than grass on the course, and in many places the grass is weeds. The greens are generally in good shape, but the bunkers could use some caretaking. It's sad to see this formerly decent golf course fall into the disrepair that it has.

Always a reliable place to play. Play now while everything is green. The nice greens and fairways will quickly disappear. Played in a group of 4 in four hours. Excellent staff in the pro shop and the snack bar. Actual starter to keep things moving along.

I don't mind water hazards, bit I would like them to be clean. These were like tar pits. Other than that it's a fun course. The fairway are fairly wide which is nice for those who slice like me.

Probably the lowest price golf course in the entire Phoenix area and for a reason. Played in March 2018 a couple of times until I discovered another course in much better condition for just a couple of dollars more per person with a cart. Particularly bad is the approach area to the 4th green over a pond. There is NO fairway grass anywhere, tight lies only. This makes the shot almost impossible to make for the mid to high handicap player.... and not enough room to maneuver around the left of the pond and marginally better on the right side. I have a home on this golf course and it's a good place to play. Prices are good, course is playable for any level of player, and it is in good shape with very few dead grass areas.

Buddies and I have played a lot of golf in the Valley. This easily earns the title as the biggest dump we have ever set foot on. It's an embarrassment to the West Valley. If you are visiting AZ for a golf trip or sports weekend, go anywhere else but here.

Played here on March 18, 2018. Been playing golf for 55 yrs and this is the worst course I have ever played condition wise. Other than the greens there was nothing that even made it look like a golf course. Weeds are higher than grass. There's nothing here to enjoy!

Complete dump. Greens are torn up on every hole, trash on the course, filthy carts, crappy neighborhood. As far as course conditions, the men's club member I played with said it's normal. Besides him, the place was filled with loudmouth hacks. Not worth any price.

For the price you pay for this course, you get a fairly long course with some difficult holes. Not just a little executive course. The people at the clubhouse are always friendly.
