In summary

The Golf Club of Houston is widely praised for its well-maintained, challenging courses, excellent facilities, and friendly staff, offering a premium golf experience with beautiful views and a country club feel. However, some visitors have noted issues with inconsistent greens, lack of on-course refreshments, and occasional unhelpful staff interactions. Despite these concerns, many golfers find the course to be among the best in Houston, attracting both casual players and those seeking a more competitive round.

This is a fantastic course. I played the members course in early December and it was still in terrific shape. Great driving range and putting greens. The greens on the course were fast and well-maintained. I will definitely play here again and highly recommend it.

Excellent Experience! Played July 7th. Greens are healing nicely from aeration. I didn’t feel like any of my putts were affected by the green surface. They rolled true and fast! The layout is really enjoyable and you can tell they value course maintanance. Pace of play is a little slow simply because the course is a challenge. The average golfer (me) will spend time looking for balls and getting out of trouble. If you’re considering playing this course as a first time golfer, you may want to consider an easier track. All in all, great experience and I’ll definitely be coming back!

One of the best golf experiences I've had. Place looked great, the staff treated us great and the food was very good. 100% somewhere you should check out. We had some bad weather towards about hole 14 but I still enjoyed the members course.

Played there on Saturday with my brother. Stood at the pro shop counter for 15 seconds as the chubby kid (can’t recall name) sat on his phone. He then proceeded to address us as he was still looking at his phone while walking to the register. We then proceeded to pay 400 dollars to play golf. We always play here when visiting family. Great course. Always in great condition.

Whether you’re playing a casual round, entertaining clients, or just enjoying a premium golf experience, this place delivers every time. Easily one of the best golf courses in Houston. Highly recommend.

Played the championship course (this is where the PGA Tour was played). Stunning course with very tough layout and long distances. Golf carts are state of the art and the course maintenance is top notch. You can find a green fee which includes golf cart for around $85-90 and is 100% worth it (it even includes range balls to practice and the range is one of the best I’ve been to). This course is way better than a lot of public/private golf courses in Houston with the same price and it’s not even close (this is one of the best if not the best golf course I’ve played). The clubhouse is stunning a…

The good: The golfers breakfast sandwich was great. The bad: Course was in bad shape for paying $120. There were 8 greens that were top dressed recently (we played on 10/08/25) and the others weren't even mowed. The greens were very inconsistent for this caliber of a course we could not believe it. The tee boxes were flat, some were thin and bare but at least they were flat. There is only one water station on the entire tournament course with no beverage cart riding around. You are given two water bottles, but that means one person per water and only two times to refill it (1 on like 6 tee and…

Greens are always below average for a high end course. Fairways have brown spots and some bunkers are not in good condition. The kitchen was closed and there is never a cart person on the course. They are trying to get ready for the LIV tournament, but it looks like a second class operation as compared to what was done at Memorial park for the Houston open. Don't go out there and waste your money. They'll gladly take your money without being transparent about the course conditions and amenities.

Recently played here — fantastic course. Very well maintained, fun, and challenging. I have to laugh reading some of the negative reviews about the staff because my experience was the complete opposite. The gentleman in the pro shop — I believe his name was Caleb — was extremely friendly, as was everyone else I spoke with. Honestly, if you’re leaving a review just to shit on someone, chances are you're the problem.

Price was more than i booked for, the range was closed and the chipping green was not told before hand. My tee time was also delayed by 15 minutes, then after my round tried to go back into the pro shop to purchase a shirt i was told "sorry were closed im going home" while there were still other customers shopping.
