Amazing how rumours can ruin a place. I wish I had drove by this course sooner. I was told by folk that this course had closed and decided to take a drive by on Tuesday the 8th of August, 2023. This is a bad local rumour as I noticed flags in the 3rd 7th 8th and 9th greens as I drove into the property. The 8th fairway was also being cut as I drove through the property. Fast forward to today August 10th and I can confirm that Club Pontefract is alive and well. The golf course is in decent shape with minor issues on the second and third greens.
