Golf Royal Papineau

Played here recently and was very surprised to see only 3 cars in the parking lot on a holiday Monday. Price with cart was fair given I got a deal through online booking as I am not sure I would return at full price. It is a shame about the greens and their dead spots on 11 of 18 greens and the remaining greens were just above avg. The track has a wonderful old school feel to it very reminiscent of a Thompson or Ross design. Rolling fairways with smallish greens. $70 any time of day for a course that barely has grass on the tee boxes, the only way to tell the difference between the fairway and rough is the “striping” in the fairway. With that, you expect to have a decent lie if you land in the fairway right? Wrong, the fairway is a mowed down hay field. And don’t expect your ball stay or roll smooth on the greens at all. So many dead patches. The price does not reflect the course quality at all. So disappointing.

Amazing golf course, very welcoming staff.

A group of us was just there. We liked the food and the accommodations. Staff was pleasant . The course although not rated is a good track of golf. Play from the proper tees according to your handicap. The sand bunkers could be better(hard sand) and as usual so call "golfers" did not rake their sand traps. Go visit and play worth the money.

Sand traps are not in great shape and the tee-offs need a lot of work. They really need to replace their pins. Also the yardage markers are missing on most of the holes. They need to buy sand trap rakes, in poor shape and a lot of them missing.

Nice average course not busy most the time i will be back alot next year good course for the price

Prices on Web site not accurate and orner wouldn't explain why. Expect to pay more !
