What People Say

In summary

Grandview Golf Club is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and enjoyable course layout, making it a suitable choice for beginner golfers. The restaurant receives high praise for its food and service. However, some visitors have raised concerns about course maintenance issues, such as rough cart paths and inconsistent fairway conditions, as well as negative experiences with staff and other golfers.

Great value for the price point. It’s a great course for beginner golfers. Wide fairways, not a lot of tall rough and bigger greens to work with. A few fun part 3 holes also in the mix. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only downsides for me are the cart paths are a bit rough and that there is no driving range on the property.

My son reserved a tee time for 1/10 through the website the golf course uses. It was raining and an absolute mess. Son canceled tee time going through the appropriate measures with the 3rd party website the golf course uses. Today he noticed he did not receive a refund yet. Reached out to 3rd party site who informed in that the golf course claimed that the course was "playable" in pouring rain. ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. Now he has a credit with the 3rd party site (this was what they offered him). Completely unacceptable on behalf of the golf course. He will not be playing here again.

Total joke of a golf course. I came here during "in season" when the conditions should be the best. Tee-boxes were rough, they have no clear cut fairways, and the greens are littered with ground fissures and dead spots. This course feels like someone's backyard that they made 18 greens in. They should pay people to golf here. 4 hours of absolute misery. I don't see how they have members that play a yearly fee to golf here

Staff is awful to work with had a small issue that should have been resolved peacefully and quickly but instead they shifted the blame on my partner and said it was our fault refused to even listen to the issues at hand and were just hands down rude. If I could give them a zero I would but I can’t

The reviews don't do this place justice, yes it may not have the most pristine fairways or anything but it is truly a fun course. My buddy and I played and we had a blast and if you want to just go have fun at a good price for in York I'd highly recommend this place. Don't judge a book by its cover its an easy course to have fun on and you can play some cool shots on all of the holes.

I typically play here multiple times a season and beyond, first tee off in the AM, as I am always a single. Always have super nice staff and very helpful. I play a good amount of courses in the region, and always like having something like Grandview a few miles from home. Thanks to the team, ground screw and others for keeping this a great option for us in Dover!

Nice dining room and delicious, fresh bites. I recommend the burgers (local beef). Enjoy the outdoor seating when the weather is nice! Great service too.

The course has potential but is still in need of serious grounds keeping. At $47, it is at the upper end of the mid priced courses. With some work, it would be worth it, but not yet

Without a doubt, the worst course I've ever played in my 40 yrs of playing golf in several states and 2 countries ! Pro shop tried to convince us price was cheapest around....he should know better that it's not !!! Other than the bar/ restaurant....their is not one positive thing I can say about this course. Anyone who praises it, is watching a different movie than the rest of us !!!

Staff members can be rude, but the other golfers are even worse. My group has experienced offhanded racist remarks from other old golfers. Not to mention if you're a beginner, expect them to complain and talk down on your for trying to get into a new hobby. Pay the money to golf literally anywhere else, I promise this place is not worth a penny.
