In summary

Greensboro National Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful layout, well-maintained fairways, and excellent greens, with many golfers appreciating the challenging yet accessible design. The staff is often described as friendly and helpful, and the club offers good amenities, including a well-regarded practice area and dining options. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the bunkers and the pricing, particularly during off-peak seasons, as well as occasional issues with pace of play and strict enforcement of outside food and drink policies.

They should be ashamed of themselves for charging $80 to play here. In its current state, this is a $50 course at best. The bag drop guy had to check my water bottle to make sure it was just water, they won’t let you take a cart out to the parking lot. You would think you’re about to play at Augusta, but rest assured it’s the complete opposite. No sand in the bunkers, a lot of rocks and dirt. Greens had been punched recently with no discount on greens fees. Tee boxes hardly had any grass on every par 3. Whoever the new owner is is running this place into the ground and has no business in the g…

First time playing this weekend. Price is a little high, but it might be my favorite course in the triad. Every hole is wide open, large fairways. Only hit one bunker and it was in good shape. Did notice quite a few holding considerable water though. It had just rained so I wouldn't hold it against them. Other reviews stated they were hard as rocks, cant confirm based on the one I was in. Greens were good. Very fast. Couple rough patches but mostly solid, fast, greens. Starter was super friendly and helpful, Pro in the shop was very nice. Range is very nice but could use a distance chart fo…

Just about perfect, except for the bunkers. This course is an excellent design of hazards and rewards. Off the tee this course is a long hitters paradise as it demands length but accepts both angles draws and fades. Fairways are well maintained. Tees are in decent shape for the time of year. Greens rolled wonderful, many in of group thought the best we had seen all year. Best bent greens I've seen. Excellent burger at the turn. This course is almost perfect which is why my complaint is odd. I hit into two bunkers yesterday and the group hit into two more all were unplayable. We play rake clean…

The course is fine, fairways are fine, greens are fine. However, the staff runs this place like it’s Augusta. Never in my life have I had an uncrustable confiscated from me 😂 Hide your snacks and drinks like it’s Fort Knox because they will literally rummage through your bag. The ranger asked if he could take a sniff at our water jug (that was actually water) I feel like $200 for a couple of drinks is fiiiiiine fellas, live a little (for the record, my boys and I still put sand in our duffs and fixed our divots 🫡)

We went for a Friday Night Dinner featuring a new menu and entertainment by Dylan Smith and Angel Paez. The food was on point! Deliciousness! We had their Meatloaf Special with mashed potatoes and green beans and the Meatloaf Sandwich. The live music made for the perfect evening and the entire audience seemed to really enjoy. I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you haven’t already! They’ve really turned things around here and the customers, as well as the owner, are reaping the rewards. So go give it a try and see for yourself!

Although the greens were under maintenance (sanding but we knew going in) the course was very beautiful. Very nice club house. Friendly team as well. I would definitely look forward to going back for another round.

First time playing here, booked a time on a whim since it wasn't as hot. $50 for a 1pm tee time. Course is in great shape, onto the review. Tee Boxes 4.5/5 - They definitely show the wear of traffic but aren't bare, no sand to fill divots I've noticed. Fairways 5/5 - No complaints. They are plush, allowing the ball to sit nice. Cart rules are implemented to prevent excess wear on some holes susceptible to waterlogged. Greens 5/5 - This is the first time I've had to take into account my spin since these greens check up great. The round was during a watering period, but despite that they ran…

What a beautiful piece of property! Course was in great shape, greens rolled true and smooth. Challenging risk reward holes and pin placements. The carts with modern new GPS made playing alot easier and score keeping a breeze. Wildlife here is plentiful, eagles, hawks, deer, and a plethora of others to be see while golfing. They also have a great practice area as well. It was a great deal for the money and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. the food at the turn was delicious!

Played 1/9/26 for the extremely low winter rate of $75 !!!! Absolutely terrible !!! I have loved playing this course in the past but the past 3-4 times have been going downhill. For that price the course should be in PRISTINE condition …….. not the case at all !!! Bunkers are like hitting out of a rock quarry …….. greens are terrible with bare spots and patchy fungus ……… and it’s winter with the fairways dormant ……. When you bring a group of 16 guys to play and it’s $75 in winter conditions …… won’t be coming back anytime soon. Very disappointing.

Course was in great shape. Weather was cold but that made the post round food even better. The staff were super pleasant and food was perfect. The whole place was lively!
