Monroeton Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and well-maintained course, offering a fun and challenging layout with scenic views. The course features amenities such as a driving range, putting/chipping greens, and new carts, with many noting improvements in the greens and overall condition. However, some visitors have criticized the maintenance of certain areas, including the greens and fairways, and have expressed dissatisfaction with the closure of the front nine and communication regarding course conditions.

Great day to play, course was in pretty good condition. Front 9 was closed. Greens are very slow, course is pretty short in distance. Putting/chipping green available, also has a driving range but we did not use.

I want to give a special thanks to my Golf Instructor Danny Weaver. He was referred to me from a good guy name Kelly that owns Kelly's Golf out of Greensboro, NC. I only been playing the game of Golf for almost a year now and its been a pleasure working with him. Patient, courteous and truly understands the game to help me become more consistent. Tremendous improvements from just working with him. Transitioning from playing Professional baseball to Golf has been a journey. He knows my strengths and what I need to continue improving on and we have the same eye to play this game to highest that…

Played Monroeton today. The course is in great shape. I was told the greens have been improved dramatically in recent months. I really enjoyed my round. Staff is friendly and the course is very well maintained. New carts. Senior weekday rate was only $20. It’s not a long course, but it’s a lot of fun. I look forward to going back.

Front 9 is closed.. this round started off by calling the day before to make a tee time, no warning from the phone call that you’d have to play the back nine twice. Angry women in her pajamas running the pro shop… asked to play another 9 at 2pm and she said we could not. Side note : you still have to pay full price. Used to be a golf course we loved coming to but will not be back.

Very nice course, well maintained, greens are fast considering they are spotty due to all of the rain 🌧. Owner is very courteous and professional; he was working desperately to repair the rain soaked greens. I thought the course with the wide fairways were Gr-r-eat, very beautiful scenery, hard to lose a ball unless you just willfully aim for the out of bounds. The cart paths are smooth; (no holes, bumps), and clearly marked. Each hole is also clearly marked, with a sign, that has hole number, par, and diagram of hole layout. Wonderful!!. Carts has ball and club cleaning boxes, with back clear…

Wonderful public course. It doesn't have carpeted grass like private clubs but it is fun and not at all expensive. The greens could use some work as they are bumpy due to many of the golfers refusing to fix their ball marks. Otherwise the course is in good shape. Hit from the blues and you will find it challenging. Hit from the reds and it is mostly a good drive and a short iron the green although a couple of holes are long.

If your going to use the driving range, plan on bringing a hammer to put your tees in the ground. Better not miss or your clubs are going to break on the concrete-like ground. Forget trying to use anything but a driver, not a suitable driving range for any other club.

Wow! This golf course was a mess! Ruts and long grass everywhere. Couldn't tell the fairway from the ruff, it was all the same. Tee boxes were hard and rotted pretty bad and blind spot little ponds you have no idea about. The good thing is the price was very reasonable and the course layout is very challenging. Would be allot of fun if in better condition.

Honestly probably the worst golf course I’ve been too as far as maintenance goes. Fairways are terrible, tee boxes just as bad. The round was cheap 24 dollars during the week, but to be honest it was so bad that even that’s too much. Greens were long and haven’t been cut in awhile and just weren’t in great shape. But the fairways are like hitting out of an abandon yard.
