In summary

Half Moon Bay Golf Links is widely praised for its stunning coastal setting, well-maintained courses, and breathtaking ocean views, making it a memorable golfing destination. The staff is generally regarded as friendly and welcoming, although a few visitors noted less favorable interactions with pro shop staff and marshals. While the course conditions and layout receive high marks, some guests experienced slow pace of play and delays in cart service.

Played The Old Course for the first time today. I loved it. Beautiful interesting parkland course. Challenging until the greens which were pretty flat and rolling very pure. Not crazy fast just true. Amazing conditions. Friendly staff. I had a horrific round at Ocean years ago and it scarred me. Next year that will be my splurge round. Highly recommend this course.

Again had an absolutely amazing experience at Half Moon Bay Golf Links! 🌊⛳️ I can never get tired of the views. Bagpipers at night is cherry on top. If you are staying here then nothing beats it. The ocean views are simply breathtaking—every hole feels like a postcard. The course is beautifully maintained, with lush greens and a layout that’s both fun and challenging. The sound of the waves crashing nearby just adds to the whole experience and makes it incredibly relaxing. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making everything smooth from check-in to finish. Whether you’re a serious golfer o…

A stunning course, I'm from way out of town, from Pennsylvania. I am here for the weekend to also attend the Rams vs 49ers tomorrow. Go Niners! Anyways loved playing this course today, the Old Course today in particular. The greens were arerated but still in decent shape to putt on. Fairways were great condition and the views outstanding. I did buy a rental club set for my round that they have on site at the Pro Shop. It was a TaylorMade set, a good set to play with and I shot 88 and that my typical scoring range. Plus you get two sleeve of TaylorMade balls too with a rental. First time bein…

I recently got a chance to play a round on the ocean course here and I really enjoyed the course. In terms of warmup, there is no driving range, so I spent about 30 minutes just chipping around their practice area that offers chipping and pitch shots. Then putting you can practice near the clubhouse. The views on the first and last holes were spectacular because they are near the water and they h ave a stunning view. Once you're inland a bit, it feels a bit more like a countryside course. However, once you pull up to the last 4 holes on the back nine, it is just gorgeous. The one nit-pick…

We had a wonderful experience at Half Moon Bay Golf Links. The setting along the Pacific Ocean is beautiful. I was visiting with my daughter, who studies in California, for Parents Weekend, and this was such a great activity to enjoy together. The course was in excellent condition and very well maintained. Fairways and greens were in great shape, and everything felt thoughtfully cared for. After golf, we stayed at the restaurant and enjoyed live music, which was a nice, relaxed way to end the day. Good atmosphere, good energy, and a perfect way to unwind after being on the course. Overall,…

All I can say is this golf course was an experience of a lifetime. Extremely helpful workers, remarkable views and an extremely challenging golf course, which is exactly what I was looking for. I'm already planning a return visit with a few of my golf mates.

Beautiful course, lucky with great weather, not the best golf experience. Folks in the pro shop were not particularly friendly. Our cart died right after the second green (ok, it happens) BUT it took two phone calls and nearly 30 minutes for us to get a replacement. It's not like we were miles away - we were on the second green! Pretty sure someone forgot about it. Unfortunately, we were forced to let several groups through as we waited. We were then stuck waiting 5-10 minutes for almost every shot resulting in a round taking over 5 1/2 hours. I received a feedback request via email, provided…

My recent round at the Half Moon Bay Golf Links Ocean Course was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and professional. The course itself is a masterpiece. Playing alongside the Pacific Ocean, with the sound of the waves crashing in the background, is an experience unlike any other. The fairways were lush and the greens rolled true. While the wind can be a factor, it just adds to the challenge and the fun. Every hole offers a new, stunning view, culminating in a truly memorable round. If you're looking for an unforgettable golf experience in Norther…

Ocean course is amazing. Was in pretty good shape right before they aerate. The only negative was the Marshall coming up to use three different times telling us we are holding up the course while we are literally looking at the group in front of us on the green as we wait to hit. The cart was telling us we were 2 minutes behind pace. Didn’t let this get to us and certainly not going to give any stars less for one guys behavior. I’d highly recommend playing here.

One of the best courses in the Bay Area. The old course (Arnold Palmer course) is a beautiful parkland style course and my favorite! It’s a very well kept course with great challenges through out. Greens are fast and well kept, it’s a great course to test your repertoire. The ocean course is a classic links style course with gorgeous views on almost every hole. The staff is very welcoming and it never disappoints. Take your out of town friends and business colleagues to the ocean course….but the old course is the real course for golf. 😬
