In summary

Poplar Creek Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained greens, walkable layout, and friendly staff, making it a suitable option for golfers of varying skill levels. The course is noted for its affordability and convenient location, with some visitors appreciating the relaxed atmosphere and decent practice facilities. However, some criticisms include the lack of on-course food options, occasional slow pace of play, and issues with course maintenance and management, such as a closed driving range and inconsistent marshalling.

Good easy/medium course, not the best facilities. No food. Only Costco trail mix, nuts, and water. Driving range is closed off. Didn’t see the course marshal on the course at any point. Two putting greens and two chipping areas which have plenty of space. Overall good course, but LAZY management. I’m not coming back till you guys have actual food and repair the driving range. I’ll pay ten more dollars somewhere else for a better experience.

How come I didn't find Poplar creek earlier 😕!!!! Except the fact that the course design is not that challenging, Poplar creek has it all !!! Good condition, both fairways and greens; like Hole 3 and Hole 18 the most. There's a pond by the green of Hole 3, very elegant design, makes you wanna spend more time on the green; Hole 18 is surely another beauty, the astonishing green by the clubhouse is a keeper for you to keep coming back for this perfect ending.

I picked up golf during the pandemic like so many other golfers. This golf course is perfectly suited for my current skill level, which I would say is anywhere between beginner-intermediate (average score of high 80s from the tips). Frustratingly, I have struggled to match those scores on other golf courses. It’s flat, so you can walk easily. Greens are in good shape most of the time. Fairways can be better but the staff are doing their best, I think. I have played the course right after heavy storms, and it is still playable. Unfortunately, the course lost a lot of trees during last winter’s…

Played 18 today on a set of great rental clubs. Contrary to recent posts, the course was in great shape. Tees greens and fairways. Played soft throughout. Couldn't have been more pleased with the course and the folks I played with. I'll be back.

This was my first time playing golf in California, and it was also my best golf experience. I felt so cool and free! A way to live in harmony with nature, it made me feel the beauty and tranquility of nature! I highly recommend this golf course!

The range is closed for net repairs, though nobody on the phone will tell you so. I’m sure the course is nice.

Really nice course if you're visiting, close by to hotel areas, cheap rates. Nice driving range facilities and welcoming staff, my only gripe was that no marshall was checking the pace, my round could've been easily under 4 hours but turned into 5.

First time there today. Walked the course. Had a great time! Greens are fast! 💪🏽 People need to learn how to fix their divots on the green. Driving range only accepts debit/credit cards. Was hoping they would have had a touch to pay since I don't carry my debit card and use my phone instead. I'll bring my debit card next time. I will definitely be back. Had a good time! Great course! 4/5.

My dad and I always go here when he visits us. Nice, not so strict atmosphere. We like the "not so crazy slop" course. We are amateurs.

The course is in rough shape. You get punished for hitting the fairway as it’s hard pan dirt all around. The saving grace is that the greens are in good condition. Don’t let the good reviews fool you. There are either outdated or meant for the cafe.
