In summary

Crystal Springs Golf Course is frequently praised for its beautiful, well-maintained course with lush fairways, smooth greens, and scenic views featuring abundant wildlife. The friendly and helpful staff, along with the well-stocked pro shop and relaxing pub, contribute positively to the experience. However, some visitors express concerns about management issues, such as unexpected changes to tee times and slow pace of play, which can detract from the overall enjoyment.

Our group golfed there Nov 2, 2025, and must say it was very good. Found all the deer and turkeys, very cool. The course was long and nicely set up. We rented carts and clubs. The carts were fantastic and newer. The rental clubs were ok, some mismatched sets, which was annoying, but overall good. The pro shop is filled with nice gear with all the latest and greatest. All the staff were up beat and helpful. We will be back! Thank you.

Beautiful mature course, well maintained. Lots of wildlife around. Clubhouse is dated and the highway is a bit annoying on some holes but definitely well worth your time. It is walkable but I would recommend a cart. There are some steep hills.

The course itself is beautiful and pretty well-maintained with lots of wildlife: deer, turkeys, hawks, etc. However, the course is poorly managed. We reserved a tee time online but when we arrived were told that the GM had moved it to a later tee time. I’ve never had that happen and thought it was really strange and unprofessional. Last minute they then bumped it back up to the original time. The range balls haven’t been upgraded in years. They’re all colors, many are cracked and misshapen and the mat I was on was lumpy, worn down and dirty (there were some newer mats but definitely still so…

Crystal Springs Golf Course is honestly a fantastic spot for a round of golf! The course is in amazing shape with lush fairways, smooth greens, and the layout keeps things interesting from start to finish. Every hole has its own little challenge. The views are gorgeous too, with nature surrounding you as you play. The staff especially Jessica, Mike, Alex, and Brian are super friendly and makes you feel right at home, which is always a plus. The pub is super chill if you want to warm up before hitting the course. The food is amazingly delicious! It’s just a great vibe all around, and you can t…

This was only my second time playing this course and it's as challenging as I remember it being last time. I like a challenge but the fairways are probably to narrow for my skill set. 😐 The course is in good shape but the weather is a bit cold. There are some amazing views and being in the woods is always a plus. I recommend you give this place a shot.

3 things you need to pay attention to when playing at Crystal Spring, first, big big chunk of trees everywhere, you need to make sure you aim correctly, otherwise they send your ball back for few yards, hah. 2nd, the greens here are brutal, fast and hard to read, need to spend more time reading the lines, otherwise you'll easily 3 putts. 3rd, the fairways here are long, hit it hard. Hole 6 and 10 are similar, both surely fun and challenging ones, big down slope and dog leg left, really need to drive your first shot well to lay up for your second. Hole 12 is another fun one, your 2nd shot i…

Today Crystal Springs was a fantastic place to play. The greens were readable and true. The fairways were cut clean and the roughs were distinctive. My drives were put to a test with fairways that are slim and long. The gradual drops and rise from tee box to cup give it personality if it's own. Even with wind blowing steady hard it does not effect the ball flight like you would expect. Making it a fun , challenging and picturesque round of golf.

Crystal Springs Golf is easy to access from Belmont with only 5 to 19 minutes drive. The rough is pretty thick and it's pretty hard to find the ball if you do not hit it on the fairway. Tee box marks on second nine holes are all disappeared, probably due to course maintenance. The view on the course is great with mountain surrounded.

Had a very bad experience with the marshal today. The pace of the course was very slow, as always. We had to wait to tee off on every single hole. The marshal drove up to us on hole 8 while we were putting and very rudely told us that we were playing very slow, that we should hurry up. We told him that we had been waiting on every single hole and pointed out that the group in front of us had just teed off and we had to wait for them on hole 9 again. He said he didn’t care, that we should play faster. He was very rude and disrespectful and his demands didn’t make any sense. How can you play fa…

This is one of my favorite tracks when I come to the peninsula. What I love most about this course is the difference between the front and the back nine. The front is uphill, downhill, sidehill lies up some huge elevations and then back down. The back nine is a more traditional Monterey style course with lots of cypress trees and tight shoots tees. Today was a spectacular day on the golf course, fantastic weather great tees and Fairways. Unfortunately the greens are pretty torn up but I know the staff is working hard to make them right. It’s a great value and a fun, fun track
