Nice challenging course and layout. Some of the greens had dead spots. Greens rolled nice and were a bit faster than I’m used to. I only deducted a star for the greens having some dead spots and still charged full price. Played from the tips and had a few hiccups but still did fair. Nice views on several holes(see pics). Driving range and practice green was great with free balls. They even have a practice bunker. Staff was nice as well. We had our daughter's wedding reception at Harbor Club and could not be any more pleased!!! The venue was beautiful and gave us the perfect backdrop for the classic, yet rustic, look our daughter had envisioned. The catering was also done by Harbor Club and the food was absolutely scrumptious!!! Our guests could not stop raving about how delicious everything was! Also, the service was impeccable! Harbor Club is a solid golf course facility that has almost everything that you can ask for in a quality golf course. The layout is very challenging and as a better golfer now I can appreciate it even more now. So let me first say how when I first played this course it destroyed my scorecard. I was in my early weekend hacker days as I struggled to shoot in the 90’s. But now that I’m about a 4 or 5 handicap I can see myself shooting in the 70’s here. When John Matney and his partner purchased the Harbor Club property in 1992 there were about 60 homes in the community. But, as we all know, time has a way of changing things, often for the better. Fast forward to 2020 and there are now more than 550 homes and another 47 under construction. There are currently 1100 homesites and over 600 acres available for future expansion. 6hr round on Saturday July 23rd. They had a tournament in the morning and I guess played really slow. My tee time was at 2:30 and we finished at 8:15, unbelievable. Ended up playing in a 6some and waiting, the pace of play was just extremely slow, they need to plan better those tournaments or close out the afternoon for open play. The course was in great condition, no complaints there.

The course is beautiful, all the help was extremely nice. Some resident on hole 16 thought they owned the course. From this experience, I’m sure most of the residents will know exactly whom I’m speaking of. He stated he lives on hole 16. He decided to come out, on a harbor club golf cart, to scream at the younger generation golfing with us. He attempted to belittle us saying “I’m sure you’re just guests”

Hello Harbor Club, I really enjoy playing here the course seams to always be in good shape. The work that has been done to help the course drain from heavy rains is paying off. I love the idea of putting the Pin placements on paper with dept of green +/- pin yardage. Still one of my favorites to play when in the Lake Oconee area. You will not be disappointed with the course or the staff. Keep up the good Job.

I was delivering medical supplies and I was having some issues with a security guard asking questions about a patient that I was not allowed to discuss because of HIPPA laws. The officer was not letting me in so I could deliver vital equipment to the patient, even though the patient had already cleared me to enter. The security supervisor was then contacted per my request and Gina was outstanding. The golf course was in great shape! Not overwhelming but has beautiful and some scoring holes.

Have been playing this course since the late 90’s. Only positive is greens are in good shape. Bunkers are better at most municipal courses and the club house has not been updated since they opened it. Many bunkers have no sand or have washed out. Cart’s are old. When I pulled up no one to take my bag. Had to go into pro shop and ask. Carts not fitted with towels and some still have not been cleaned out. When help finally came the response was “ sorry eating my pancakes.” This facility has so much potential. It is a shame.

Huge disappointment. I had high expectations of this course and they didn't even come close to meeting them. The course is beautiful, well designed and fair for most any golfer. However the current conditions of the greenside bunkers, I would describe as ground under repair. Easily the worst I have ever seen. Then after the round at 3:30pm found out that the kitchen was closed for the rest of the day. 120 golfers on the course and they close the kitchen? Apparently they don't need the business and I will oblige them.

You’ve asked for feedback, so here goes: Love the people, the vibe, and the beauty of Harbor Club. When compared to the other gated communities, Harbor Club unfortunately has fallen behind on amenities and needs an update in several areas (pool, clubhouse, playground). This is very much a family neighborhood, so more emphasis needs to be on those amenities that attract and maintain the lifestyle of families with children or even grandchildren.
