I am a resident of Gurnee with my home backing up to the 7th tee box on the Heather Ridge Golf Course. The upkeep of the course has declined over the years and there is a 300+ foot area of dead and missing grass to the point that it is a quagmire of mud. It is a breeding ground for rodents and mosquitos. The course management has done nothing to remedy this problem which has gotten way worse over the past two years! When you golf here, please help me out and express your concerns because it is not only an eyesore, but a growing health issue- Thank you!

Heather Ridge is fine. But on Dunham Rd, there is an abused dog, in a kennel for hours, the woman NEVER walks the dog. The boyfriend visits and walks the dog maybe twice a week. The dog cries and howls for hours, she should not own this dog. Not sure where the dog potties, probably in the kennel.

Terrific 9 hole course. On the shorter side, but enough length and hazards to let you work on your game. Fairways and greens are well kept and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Play there most every week. It is a well maintained 9 holes. The challenge is excellent and the staff are very friendly. We will continue to play there.

Don’t try to take your kids here. My son was turned away with his dad on Father’s Day. Don’t know if they discriminate or what but they were there this past week and there were younger kids on the course. Avoid this place if you want to golf with your kids. Ruined his Father’s Day. Oh and the kid was incredibly rude, whoever is on the phone and registering people, might want to talk to them about how they interact with customers. My brother in law said it was awful, had to explain to my son why people behave this way. First experience being treated like that. So thanks for being that too!!

One of the nicest courses I've played so far. Very challenging though, definitely not a beginner course. Greens are very quick and fairways are very tight. One of my favorite courses.

I would probably give it a 5 star for the course but the "members" really need better golf etiquette that's what you should have lessons on lol

Course is under new management and is vastly improved!! It is well manicured and staff is great. They have gone to great lengths to up their game not only on the course but at the Cabana Grill as well. If you've been disappointed in the past, please give them another try. You won't be disappointed~

This course is well maintained and plays great. This is probably the best 9 hole course in the suburbs. Staff is kind as well.

I have never played this course but know every sq ft of it. Very beautiful. I have seen people play this in 30* - 105* weather, full sun, rain, windy as hell, and even snow - all seasons. Appreciate that the staff have never messed with me and my small goldendoodle walking the place when it isn’t open.

4 out of 5 stars. This is a 9 hole course that can play short if you have a long 1st shot capability. Tees are well kept. Driving range and practice green are good. Riding carts are well kept as well. Has a small outdoor bar/Grill for those wanting something after a round of golf. Fairways are still lush this late into the season. Good prices to play as well.

The backup was unbearable. I've played here many times... great course, just make sure to pressure the ranger into forcing groups to keep pace. I'd give it a 2 or 3 star rating, but the course is decent. My reviews do change frequently, and I will revisit this course.
