In summary

Hiawatha Golf Course is appreciated for its family-friendly atmosphere, classic layout, and well-maintained greens, making it a fun and accessible course for golfers of varying skill levels. The staff receives high marks for their friendliness and helpfulness, and the course offers a full driving range and practice areas. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about slow pace of play, rough course conditions, and high fees relative to the quality, suggesting room for improvement in maintenance and management.

This is a family friendly course with a lot of character and fairly patient members. Its also affordable and a lot of fun and plays fair. It gets wet easy and can be pretty buggy in high summer but its got gorgeous views on a few holes of the Wisconsin landscape and has a pleasant layout. Tournaments are always fun here too, definitely worth checking out and military friendly too. Scratch golfers will have fun but not be challenged too much so if your a tour pro you might want to look elsewhere! Sunset photos uploaded and it was gorgeous!

Love the course, great length and enough water to keep it interesting. Overall a pretty easy course but its in good shape and a fun place to be along with having a full driving range, practice green and putting green

The course is fun to play and has some fun holes. That being said, it’s not maintained that well. For example, the roughs are ROUGH. The grass was really long and it was extremely easy to loose your ball. This being said, the staff is kind the carts are in good shape.

Staff here is absolutely amazing. Left my pitching wedge and they held it for over a week before I was able to make it back. Course is in pretty good condition and one of my favorites to just spend an afternoon relaxing at.

My brother, my friend and I all went with 0 experience. Terrible idea. We were moving way too slow so we eventually got kicked off. They refunded us fully and let us borrow 2 sets of clubs and 180 balls to go practice at the driving range. Although we didn't get to play actual golf they gave us free stuff so we could get better.

Decent range, multiple chipping greens, although both in great shape. Course is your very average municipal course.

I played Hiawatha today. I haven’t played there in 2 years. The course is almost all the way back. Everything is beautifully green. Fairways are great and the rough is full. Greens are almost back. The vast majority of them were in great shape. It’s a fun layout, an easy walk, the conditions are WAY better than the last time I played. Hopefully the city will keep it as an 18 hole course. The plans they have for this course is just sad with the history of golf in this area. Now that the conditions have improved, I’ll certainly be playing it more often in my rotation of Minneapolis muni cours…

AVOID - Slow play is AGGRESSIVELY FOSTERED and conditions are insultingly BAD--just look at this actual photo of the course! I didn’t want to be unfair, so I gave them a second chance, and it was worse! This is only the second place I’ve EVER left one star for, and the only time I’ve ever needed to do so on multiple platforms, but it’s necessary to protect the public. It’s not just me—there are multiple CONSECUTIVE 1 star reviews from locals. It’s extremely rude to charge money for what you get there. None of the other Minneapolis courses the same combination of disrepair and bad service. For…

This is a classic Golf Course. This golf course has been around for many many years. It is very unique and it's own layout! The layout is a very classic links like layout. The greens were nice but fast the fairways were well maintained. Lot of par-fives that you can open up your drive to a grip it and rip it down the Fairway. Take your time on the greens because they were nice but they were fast doesn't need much to drop the ball in the cup! The facility was really nice clean and well maintenanced. The staff there was exceptionally nice and filling Us in on some information was very helpful an…

Good golf course. If it is a hot day I would definitely spring for the gold cart or hand cart, carrying clubs for all 18 holes was terrible. Lots of water but it's an easy course great for everyone.

Very mediocre course and $47 waking is way too steep for a $27 quality course. Irritating with mowers buzzing all around while we played. Why not mow before it opens like other courses. No need to go back and will not miss it when it’s gone.
