In summary

Hidden Meadows Golf Course receives praise for its friendly staff, challenging layout, and ongoing improvements to course conditions, with many appreciating the peaceful setting and reasonable pricing. However, several visitors have raised concerns about the GPS-equipped golf carts frequently shutting down unexpectedly, and some have experienced issues with communication regarding fees and hole availability. While the course shows potential, these operational challenges have led to mixed experiences among golfers.

Course was in spectacular shape, carts at GPS on them and the clubhouse remodel almost completed. Love this course. If I’m ever back in the Tuscaloosa area, I will definitely play this place again. Highly recommended.

Paid $94 thinking I was getting 18 holes with a rider, small bucket of range balls, and a Gatorade. Got on hole 10 and a guy from the pro shop came and told us we only paid for 9 holes and to get back to the pro shop. Pulled up the receipt and we ended up getting hit with around $10 in surcharges for paying with cards on top of tax. A rider was $25 which I think is insane. The bucket of range balls probably had around 25 balls paid $10 which is crazy. Also we called the pro shop and told the lady we wanted a tee time for 18 holes at 3:30. However we weren’t told that after 2:30 you can only pl…

Greens are very bouncy, balls are impossible to find in the fairway and I’ve never seen so much water and out of bounds right next greens. Would not recommend!

Have enjoyed playing here the past few years, staff has always been pleasant until today… every time I have went I was always asked if I was going to play 9/18 holes. That did not happen today, so I assumed it was going to be for 18. When I arrived back to the club house to return my cart after playing the full round I was met by the man that signed me at the desk. He immediately stated “don’t worry about coming back anymore because you are banned”. At first I was completely confused as to why I was banned because all he would say was I broke the rules. When I asked how or what rules I broke h…

They are grinding hard to get the course up and running. Played the day after absolute insane amount of rain, and the course had done a solid job of draining. Once the course grows in its going to be great. Will be back.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I haven't played the course in several years, but my girls loved the driving range.

Nice course, really nice staff… only issues were the golf carts were programmed to basically stay 10/15 yards from the rough. You could be on the edge of the fairway and the cart would turn off… hopefully that will change

We were excited to try the course again. Initially, we thought the price was a little high compared to other courses around with a better reputation but we wanted to give it a try. Honestly the course was in pretty good shape considering. Fairways and greens were decent. Two big issues!! We had to push our carts on several occasions because the GPS carts system was telling us to return to cart path although we followed the 90 degree rule. It is really frustrating when the golf cart becomes the issue of the day. Stopping in the middle of the fairway and not allowing you to even approach your ba…

I really enjoy playing here. The front 9 is very challenging. Overall, this course is very peaceful with playable greens. Nice driving range. Debra in the clubhouse is very friendly and helpful.

Update: Went to give this course a redemption round since it has been a year and I did state I would try it again, just to find out that since I left an honest, bad review, I have been banned from the course! So just a heads up for anyone looking to be honest, you will get banned.. The only thing good I can say about this place is the layout. . Cost was more than Ol' Colony and no where near the same caliber. Greens had literal bunkers on them with all the sand. Fairways had rocks or either under water. Tee time was 8:30 and they were still watering the course. They were still cutting grass a…

Improvements to this course are really nice but most of the holes are restricted on where you can drive your carts so if you are disabled or have issues walking this course is not for you. The restricted areas are not marked so you don't know you aren't allowed until the gps equipped golf carts shut down and tell you to back up to the cart path. Made what should have been a pleasant day, very frustrating.
