In summary

Holmes Harbor Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic views, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it an enjoyable experience for many golfers. The course features a variety of holes, including numerous par 3s, which offer opportunities to improve short game skills. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, such as soggy fairways and underdeveloped bunkers, and have expressed concerns about the pricing, particularly for a course with limited amenities.

Had opportunity to play Holmes Harbor Thursday 10/7. Was apprehensive as I thought this was likely a mom & pop golf course with narrow fairways and small greens. I was pleasantly surprised, and will play there again. The fairways are more than wide enough, and although the course has 9 par 3's, it is fun and challenging. The greens are all more than sufficiently sized, and the condition of the course great. When I got there Thursday morning, it was after a large thunderstorm dumped on the course Wednesday night. Needless to say, the first five or six holes were wet, as were the greens. By th…

Been living on the course for 20+ years and have seen it in all of its conditions. I can proudly say it’s the best it’s ever been. Majority of the bunkers are clean and weeds are pulled. Greens roll true and are in good shape, you’ll find a couple divots but that’s only cause people don’t fix them and don’t know golf etiquette. Don’t need a tee time and can wear whatever you like which is the best part! Just show up before 5 or if not you give Paul a call and he’ll take care of you. I personally think $65+ for a round here is absolute insanity but i understand it being that it’s only the weeke…

I started playing this course when I moved nearby 2 years ago. I play all year round, rain or shine. It was in rough shape during COVID, but Paul and his staff have really brought it back to life, including refreshing the bunkers. Reasonably priced, well cared for and a really fun course. Great views and wildlife (deer, eagles, hawks and songbirds).

I love this course, place and it’s people. Be aware the original place (clubhouse and everything associated with a club) has been downsized to a large, albeit cute trailer. So no trappings of a typical club. This place has a good enough pro shop, clean carts, 18 challenging holes, and friendly helpful staff. Bathrooms located at pro shop and several holes. Several drivable holes, challenging approaches, AND they have par 3 pins on every hole. I appreciate the course for the staff effort to keep up the course and the challenging holes. Warm up net at first holes, putting area, and two places…

Not trying to be rude, but I don’t know how people are rating this 4 stars, saying it’s in great shape. Bunkers either filled with weeds or no sand, greens and fairways so soggy you leave later filed imprints in spots, and a trailer for a club house. I hope for the surrounding houses that it improves, as I would hate to have a house on one of these fairways. Has potential to be a fun little executive course, but needs a ton of work, especially drainage.

For a small privately managed golf course open to the public this is Great. It's short with narrow fairways with a number of hazards so it can be challenging. And, it is fun. The green fees include a cart. I give it high marks. It's not a expensive but you get a good return on your green fees in playing fun

Golfed 18 holes. Course needs work, bunkers in poor shape. Lots of mosquitoes so bring bug spray. Pros: price, decent golf carts, and available tee times/not busy.

Honestly the course is well kept and has some water views but $65 for a course that is 90% par 3 holes is robbery. Would never pay to play here again. Should be $45.

Beautiful day today on the course. A lot of the reviews on here seem to be dated. All of the sandtraps we came across were clean and not filled with weeds as mentioned in some reviews. The greens were in great shape. Well worth the trip to golf here. Great views, nice carts, would come back!!!

Great course. I play here a few times a week, and seem to encounter new challenges every time. The course is short, but certainly not easy. A great place to work on your ball striking and wedge play. They also offer a punch card deal that makes your play much more affordable. Something to consider if you plan on playing a lot throughout the season!

I haven't played this course in a couple of years and was more than pleasantly surprised by the undulating greens and the best golf course views on Whidbey Island. Par 3's are the hardest holes in golf and this course gives you plenty of opportunities to test your wedge and short-iron game. I didn't appreciate this course when I first played it but I certainly do now. I will be playing here regularly this summer.
