What People Say

In summary

Horn Rapids Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained course conditions, challenging layout, and friendly staff, with many appreciating the improved greens and irrigation system under new ownership. The club's amenities, including the clubhouse and Rewsters Craft Bar & Grill, receive positive feedback for their atmosphere and service. However, some visitors mention issues with overwatered greens, challenging course navigation, and limited menu options in the restaurant.

Horn Rapids embarked on a smart, well-executed master plan that fixed the things that mattered most over the past 5 years. Many greens have been overhauled producing consistent putting surfaces. Major irrigation improvements have given the fairways better lie and recovery in this desert course. You’ll be rewarded for thoughtful course management instead of raw power. Bottom line: Horn Rapids has evolved from a neighborhood course into a regional favorite. If you want playable, well-maintained conditions, interesting golf strategy, and a welcoming clubhouse, book your tee time at Horn Rapids.

The course is nice. The service in the clubhouse and Bar were great. The cleanliness of the men’s room and smell of urine was pretty bad!

Josh was great setting tee time, information etc. Proshop attendant Tyler was awesome. Course was very challenging, many blind holes, doglegs, and many bare spots on fairways. Slick greens, luv that. Would recommend a PC over pull carts,as its difficult walk. Pull carts were poor quality, ready to fall apart. All in all, would play again, to meet the challenge.

We have lived out here for 7yrs and had only played one round of golf before the new ownership took over... to say the least, it was in bad shape. 5yrs later new ownership took over the course with promises to bring it back to it's prime. Man did they deliver. Starting off with the course itself...1000x better. Upgraded irrigation system, cleaned up fairways and plush greens...this new maintenance team has done an amazing job. And they never stop. Outside of golf...the clubhouse/Rewsters Craft Bar & Grill. What can I say...they still have hotdogs like the prior but boy have they raised the b…

The course condition has continually improved the last few years. This year is the best yet. I give it 5 stars because of how far along it has come. Areas that I would say could use improvement are: Range Balls - it is time to replace the ones in place now. Bunkers - there are a few bunkers that could use some TLC with additional sand and better drainage (standing water). Fairways - three fairways have had standing water in the same spots over the last few weeks. Keep up the good work HR Golf Mainenance Crew. Not included in my rating is Rewsters or pro shop.

Greens were smooth. Wish more people fixed their ball marks but that’s not the clubs fault. Friendly staff. Houses on both sides of most holes but plenty of room to miss.

The course is in good shape. Not overgrown. Manicured nicely. Green were running smoothly. New carts are great. Different elevation make it challenging enough for me as a 11 handicap. Will be back.

Went out to Richland to golf to escape the rain in Seattle and played 54 holes at Horn Rapids and 18 at another course in Richland. We definitely liked this course better for its mountain & Columbia river views, well kept greens (fast) and challenging design. The staff at the pro shop and restaurant were very friendly!! Wished the restaurant offered more menu choices though.

Played 7/4&5. Two rounds on the 5th in 4 HR 20 minutes. Fun tract but tough. I can see why many players will shy away from the difficulty. Rating for whites 71/133 with lots of carry. I would easily rate this a 5 if it wasn't as difficult. But it's a 5 in my book. Oh, the rates are AWESOM! Easily worth $65 with cart.

I walked around this place. The goolf course runs in between rows of houses (or the other way) in Horn Rapids, Washington State, USA. Nicely maintained.

This could be the best and most challenging course in the Tri-Cities but they come up short on the putting surfaces. They are often over watered to the point every step you take leaves a giant foot print. Can’t really putt when it turns into an obstacle course. The greens go way too long without a proper mow to where you end up on a fuzzy surface. Not worth the price tag that comes with a poorly maintained course.

Scenic views of the Yakima river, Rattlesnake Mountain and Candy Mountain. I have not eaten in the club house, but I have golfed once in the Fall. It's worth a visit to enjoy a slow round, soak up some sun and enjoy natural the beauty.
