Update late 2025. New. Greens in 2024. Havent played them yet. Trying but semiprivate now and prices are up. 85-100. Old post below. Course is in soggy conditions. Greens are always beat up. Everything else is immaculate.

Great course. Love playing it. Surprisingly hilly for our area. Medium on wide openness. The rought was thick today (7/3/25) but playable. Top tier course for ENC.

The club as whole is not worth your time or money. For extremely heightened prices you will experience a poor layout with even worse conditions. You will be greeted by an a hole pro who will deny you playing or range balls for the fun of it, claiming it’s “members only.” When in reality it’s as far from a members only course you can get. Do not play here.

"Ironwood Golf & Country Club is an absolute gem in Eastern North Carolina! From the moment you arrive, you're treated like royalty, whether you're there to play a round of golf or enjoy the stunning amenities. The course itself is a masterpiece—pristine fairways, challenging greens, and gorgeous scenery that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a golfer's paradise. It's clear the team takes great pride in maintaining every detail. But Ironwood isn't just about golf—the clubhouse is a dream! Whether you're hosting an event or just grabbing a bite, the food is fantastic, and the staff is in…

Ironwood is a fun course - I would like to see it in a little better shape since they charge a premium to play here but all in all it’s a good course.

Both members and staff are friendly. The guys behind the desk in the pro shop do a wonderful job of keeping up with members questions and requests. Course is maintained with care, and I have yet to be disappointed with any of my dining experiences.

Not bad, but not the 5 star experience that a course like, say, Cutter Creek is. The greens were 4/10 shape and the tee boxes could use some work. The greenskeeper needs to visit Cutter Creek and see what it’s supposed to look like. This isn’t a bad course, but it’s not a Great Course either. Borderline worth the weekend greens fees…..
