In summary

Ironwood Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained greens, friendly staff, and scenic layout that winds through a residential neighborhood, making it both challenging and enjoyable. Many appreciate the course's condition and reasonable pricing, with some noting the necessity of using a cart due to long distances between holes. However, there are occasional concerns about slow pace of play and maintenance activities during games, as well as issues with event space management.

Really like this course. Although some other courses in the area are really having challenges with their greens, IWood’s are in pretty good shape. It’s a tough walk, due to long distances from green to the next tee, so a cart is a good choice, but it’s a good course.

Been playing here for the last 10 years. Just like any muni, it can get a little busy on the weekends in the mid-morning. If you go early, or play in the afternoon, you should have no problem. The team at Ironwood has done a great job maintaining this course, it has been in good shape. Compared to 10 years ago, many of the trees have grown and created some challenging tee-shots. Tips are a serious challenge on a few of the holes. Give it a try!

We booked the clubhouse for an event and found out the day of the event that the space had been double booked. This made for a less than ideal event for both parties. Unfortunately, access to the event space was limited due to the circle drive being blocked by golf carts for the other event.

ZERO PACE OF PLAY. BACKED UP THE ENTIRE TIME, no official to keep things going. Watched people drive on the green. I don’t recommend . No beer cart

Beautiful course to play! I played very well. I appreciate the maintenance crew doing their job and keeping the course well kept but having them following me while I was playing was a bit frustrating. I often waited for them to get a couple holes ahead of me so I can continue playing. They would mow when I was trying to putt or swing. On other courses that I have played in the area, I never really had this problem. I would just appreciate the maintenance crew being more courteous of the golfers.

The course was in pretty good shape aside from players not repairing ball marks and houses adjacent to the course not cleaning up after their dogs. Neither of which are under the control of the course staff, but it would have been nice for someone to drive the course and remove the dog poop from the #7 tee box. Otherwise, the carts were nice (electric), the staff was friendly, and the grounds were in good shape.

Nice golf course, wasn't busy but it was October on a week day last time I went. Pretty narrow so you wanna focus on accuracy more than just blasting the ball off the tee (but that's most places). 18 holes meanders through a pretty nice neighborhood so it is fun to play even once. Some of the holes are pretty exposed so it can get very windy. The employees are all very nice. Price is reasonable imo, and the other players are very friendly. Try to go on a weekday that isn't windy.
