In summary

Jake Gaither Golf Course is frequently praised for its affordability and the generally good condition of its greens and fairways, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. The course layout is appreciated for being beginner-friendly while still offering some challenging holes. However, some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with the management of tee times and course overcrowding, as well as inconsistent customer service and lack of amenities such as a driving range.

This course greatly exceeded my expectations. Scenic layout, challenging yet friendly design for all skill levels. Greens, fairways & tee boxes all in great shape. Extremely affordable. I plan on playing this course every time I stop in Tallahassee. Only thing missing is a driving range, but still 5 stars in my opinion.

I went to golf there and i got through maybe 7-8 holes and then out of nowhere there was 4 different youth groups taking over the entire course. Me and my group basically was forced to leave because we could only play three holes over and over since it is only a 9 hole course. I went to go get a rain check and they did not even budge which is insane because there was nothing on the website and gave 0 warning when I was checking in. Very upsetting.

I would actually like to make it 4 stars, but l can’t. The staff member in the pro shop was fine. I did not use the practice facilities. The cart was fine, but they had no GPS. They had a screen, but no yardage (pictured). The tee boxes were thick with Bermuda. The fairways were a mix of grasses, but mostly Bermuda. I did not end up in a bunker during the round, but they looked well kept. The greens were sloooooow, and could have used some love (pictured). The holes are a mix of short par 4’s and regular. Plus 2 really cool par 5’s. The course is another example of if they just invested some m…

We had an excellent time. Clubhouse was clean and worker was respectful and courteous. Greens are a little slow but smooth. Played 18 with no difficulty. Others we played with were very nice. Excellent price with their Monday/Wednesday specials.

Returning to area where I served the community. Booked a 7:42 tee time for a 2 playing 18 on a Monday. Online process good, check in good. Played 9 holes fairway was below standard greens were good condition. Finished 9 got ready to play second 9 and the course was backed up 11 people waiting to tee off. Obviously wasn’t going to be able to tee off until way later. Explained to individuals inside for refund on second 9. Immediately shut down with no understanding or willing to take accountability that the course is backed up for poorly managed booking. Really disappointed in customer service.…

A tremendous value for a basic public course. Course was undergoing renovations when I played but no complaints. Can't wait to see the finished product.

One of the best prices in the city for golf. I don't know anywhere else I can walk for only $10. Even for $10, the course is in pretty good shape. There are a few rough patches on the course, but overall pretty good quality.

The course itself is a great beginner 9 hole course pretty well maintained. My issue was not with the golf course. The staff is very unfriendly, the one man who sits at the front of the pro shop is very rude. Last week I got rained out after one hole was given some sort of coupon to redeem whenever, I presented it to the front desk, and they said it was no good even though it was not my fault. Their employees gave me the wrong rain check coupon.
