In summary

John Blumberg Golf Course receives praise for its friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and improvements in course conditions over recent years, making it a good choice for beginners and casual golfers. The 9-hole course is noted for being forgiving and well-maintained, while the 18-hole course offers more challenges. However, some visitors express concerns about maintenance issues, such as muddy spots, inconsistent greens, and confusing layouts, as well as occasional lapses in customer service and course etiquette.

This course is getting better and better every year. Been a member here for three years and planning to do it again when golf season open up next year.

Staff were very friendly and helpful if you had questions or anything. Driving range is fairly nice with good indicators for yardage and well spaced out mats. The putting green was well taken care of and a fair size. Prices were reasonable and abit below average costs across the city. The 9 hole course is fairly forgiving and a great beginners course tho do watch out for the 6th 7th and 9th holes as they can be abit tricky. Food and beverages were well priced and tasted good. Over all the course was a nice and relaxing experience with the girlfriend. Would recommend to friends and family.

The course was quite nice and enjoyed my time golfing, there were some muddy spots and water spots. we were rushed even though there were many groups ahead of us when we couldn’t golf, other golfers would tee off when i was halfway down the fairway. 3.5/5

My friend and I went golfing with our partners (who don't golf) and our partners didn't have clubs, they were just using ours. I would say our partners didn't play half of the course, just shot when they wanted to then picked up their ball to keep up pace of play. We made it all the way to 18 before the marshal Sandy scolded us for golfing without everyone having clubs (Everyone did pay for 18 hole green fee). We didn't know this was a policy and to our fault didn't see the whiteboard in the clubhouse with it written on it. I'm sure this is so you have to rent clubs in the case you don't have.…

The golf carts are gps, so if you go like 30 feet off the cart path, it stops you in your tracks. They are absolutely terrible, crazy bumpy fairways, and lots of brown grass and deep divots on greens

This course has come a long way since a couple years ago. Walked the 9 hole in fall This year and was mostly clean of leaves, well kept and clearly marked. Really enjoyed my game with friends! Strongly recommend!

This course has two separate courses. A 9 hole option and an 18 hole option. Greens were in very good shape on the 9 hole course. The guy working the clubhouse was friendly and was able to provide ample information when we prompted questions. No carts in the parking lot to pick up your clubs is a bit disappointed but not a huge deal. The 9 hole is a bit confusing to follow where the next tee box is. The map on the scorecard helped big time for this. Would be nicer to have more signage. The course has some rolling features and water hazards. However not a tree in sight on the 9 hole. The 18 see…

I’m not sure what the 18 hole course looks like, but the nine hole course is horribly maintained. The fairways are yellow with weeds and, just off the fairways in the rough, it is so thick with weeds that you can’t even find your golf ball when you’re walking right over it! Many of the greens are pitted. It actually affects your game because you’re compromising your shots to deal with the bad shape of the course. The only good thing about this course is that it’s close to my house and there was hardly anybody on the nine hole, so we were able to take our time and shoot multiple balls.

The course is in good shape this year. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was a little busy, but it was a great round for the price.

Spend your money elsewhere! Terrible course! We hadn’t been there before and the front desk didn’t explain anything, barely said anything. Our bucket was only 2/3 full from the machine but our friends was almost full. It was $14 too! Then we played 18 holes … the course isn’t maintained, the marshal doesn’t care about behaviour as 2 girls were drinking & very loud and he watched one fall completely out of the cart & just lay there laughing loudly with her friend before he drove away. The course itself is poorly laid out as you can’t tell which hole is which at times. There’s no etiquette eithe…

I was a little sceptical to try this course after reading some of the reviews. But my buddy and I wanted to golf on short notice and they had an opening. Course was in solid shape. Nothing spectacular but exceeded my expectations of a public course. Greens were a bit firm and my ball wouldn’t stick on them, but it had been a dry summer. For the price point will definitely be going back.
