In summary

Tuxedo Golf Course receives mixed feedback from visitors. While the course is appreciated for its reasonable pricing, driving range, and generally good condition of greens and fairways, many guests express dissatisfaction with the unfriendly staff, particularly in the pro shop, and the lack of family-friendly policies. Recurring issues include rough cart paths, inconsistent treatment of families with young children, and a perceived unwelcoming atmosphere.

First time golfing at this golf course. Lots of parking within the golf course and close to the main building and golf carts. Price to golf with cart was about 80$ for 18 holes. They have a putting and chipping area on the one side and a driving range on the other side. 7.50$ for half a bucket and 15 for a full bucket. I believe the range of the range goes to 250. The course itself wasn’t the best. If I was to go again I think I would walk the course. Using the cart was nice for the breeze and good if they had a paved path but driving it on the course was a wild adventure. I worked up in nort…

Extremely disappointing experience at Tuxedo Golf Course. My husband, our 5-year-old son, 8-year-old nephew, and brother-in-law went out early on a Saturday and were charged full adult rates for the kids which was almost $300 total. To make matters worse, they were told the kids couldn’t even use the mini golf because “it’s not free”. For a city-owned public course, this is unacceptable. Families should feel welcome, not taken advantage of. We’ll be spending our money at one of the many much better-run, friendly courses just outside the city from now on.

3/5 Fairways. Some fairways were basically moguls. Hard to walk on 3/5 Tee boxes. Tee boxes were not very level. 4/5 Benches. Old benches, but on every hole. 5/5 Ball washes. Ball washes on every tee. 4/5 Power carts. Good gas carts. 4/5 Cart paths. Cart paths in good condition. 5/5 Price. Very reasonable price. 3/5 forgiveness. Some holes nice and open, others with thick brush along the fairways. Very narrow. 3/5 Greens. Greens were ok. Some were very small 4/5 Signs. Good signs. Old and faded. 4/5. Overall.

Staff were not friendly but the driving range is pretty decent. Most times I have gone the driving range has been relatively packed as well as the chip and putt green. Book in advance if you are going to play golf here as walk on times are slim.

WARNING, if you for some reason want to feel unwelcome, uncomfortable, judged and down right disrespected please waist your money at miserable Tuxedo golf course. The course itself is in fair shape play wise but first you must survive the absolute miserable employees that are working in the pro shop. I’ve read all the reviews about the the pro shop and not one good comment in the past 5 years. They will never learn I guess. Horrible business model. It’s give me your money and get lost.I’m only giving the course as a whole 1/10, it would have been higher but the pro shop staff killed my day. I’…

I had a very bad experience here. (My POV) After my shift for work I was kindly invited by my buddy to go try golfing for the first time, he is much more experienced than I am and I have never been. We were practicing in the green area when the “head pro”, Patrick Berns, came up to us passive aggressively asking what we are doing. After some talking, the Pro was not up for any of our questions (mainly mine) for what chipping/ lobbing is, it was clear from his approach that he had already concluded an outcome to our further conversation. We were certainly not disrespectful with our conversation…

The Tux is a wide open course with small greens. Pace of play is usually under 4 hours. Reasonably priced public golf course.

A Cautionary Note for Families Considering Tuxedo Golf Course As someone who’s golfed at Tuxedo numerous times and generally enjoyed the atmosphere and service (despite the consistently poor condition of the fairways for the price), I regret to say that Father's Day 2025 will be the last time I bring my family here. Context: We were a family of four, including our 6- and 10-year-old children—both with their own clubs. Our 6-year-old wasn’t playing a full round, just hitting a few shots for fun. To keep the pace of play smooth and respectful for those behind us, we played a scramble format. T…

just an awful experience. head pro was incompetent and couldn’t understand that a 6 hour round of golf should have been played in 4 if the groups ahead had any awareness. not their fault but the head pro completely blamed us and the groups behind for the pace of play. we let a twosome play through us and they were on 18 while the group that let them though was on 14. the course was in awful shape and a round of 18 at this course shouldn’t be $70, more like $40. do not play here

I paid for 18 holes and got rained out half way. They gave me a 9 hole rain check. When I went to use it and play 9 holes they made me pay a fee still even though I used the rain check, they give out rain checks that don’t do anything.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. The Marshall is a ray of sunshine, thinks this is the Augusta national for some reason. He was going around telling every group to hit into the groups in front of them 200yds out. Finished 9 holes in under 2 hours and he’s still complaining about everyone being slow. There’s little kids learning how to golf and he’s complaining how they suck. Do better!!

I played a twilight round with some friends. When we walked over to hole 10.. This guy working at the course drove his Ford up to the tee box on 10 and informed us the gates would be close in the next 30 minutes. There was plenty of sunlight and we propably could have golfed another 4 holes. I have no idea why these guys can't stay until the sun goes down. But also the disrespect to the course by driving a full size vehicle up to the tee box.
