What People Say

In summary

The Wildewood Club is praised for its well-maintained 9-hole course, which offers a challenging layout with tight holes and minimal walking between them. It is appreciated for its affordability, particularly for students and families, and its scenic setting along the river. However, some visitors have experienced issues with staff interactions, particularly with marshals, who have been described as unfriendly or overly strict, especially towards beginners.

still a bit patchy but overall a nice walking course. If you play alone, they will most likely pair you up. And you cannot say no!

A small, sweet golf getaway along the river. A 9 hole course, while Wildewood may lack distance, it has many challenging, tight holes that are super fun to play. Student and kid membership prices are really affordable and make for a great place to play all summer long. Wildewood is the

Excellent grooming for cross-country skiing. Trails are easy with some moderate ups and downs to make it fun. Trails are well marked and extend to St John's Ravencourt School giving as well across the road to follow the north side of the golf course. The trails are sheltered and you may see various species of owls, woodpeckers, including pileated woodpeckers, as well as various other winter birds and deer.A great family outdoor experience in the city

Well done Les Mitchell for maintaining your composure and not stooping to the level of a golfer that verbally accosted you because they were late for their tee time and ultimately were dissatisfied with the 9 holes they played. It’s too bad you had to answer to the adult tantrum that took place and all golfers on the 1st tee had to witness. Your efforts are appreciated to keep the course moving as it should! I’ve grown up playing at Wildewood and the condition continues to get better and better every year! With only 9 holes, the starters, marshals, Lakeland and the ownership group have done…

Watch out for Les Mitchell at the tee box. If he’s working I highly recommend saving your money. Go play somewhere else. I will never play here when he’s working again. I suggest you do the same…

Glorious track, and the nastiest 9 in town. Starters/Marshals/all staff at Wildewood are terrific and make your experience superb!

Great value for money. Greens in nice condition (only running a 8.5 but still...) They still need to cut a few trees down but it's still pretty good.

IF YOU ARE NEW OR NOT A GOOD GOLFER do not go here. Save your money. Our round started with a Marshall heckling us for playing from the blues, mocking our handicaps. We paid our high course fee’s, we should be able to play the course as it is intended, and we kept the 2 hour pace. For a $30-$40 9 hole round (no cart) the course was well maintained and challenging, which is why I gave at least one star

Course is very well maintained and is a great 9 holes! Only reason that I didn't give 5 stars was because the Marshall wasn't very friendly. He made a few passive aggressive comments and complained we were playing too slow when in fact we were under the 2:15 time limit, and were held up by the people in front of us. Kind of put a damper on an otherwise fantastic experience! Beautiful course!

Was invited to play in the Ladies League Closing today ...was just awesome. The weather was great, the course in great shape and my team mates were so wonderful. Had so much fun. We even had a phantom player named Chip'nDale. He may have been cute, but not a ringer golfer. Oh well, a good time had by all. So much Thanks to the organizing committee...Job well done...kudos...Until next year.....❤

The best 9 holes in Winnipeg! Beautifully maintained. Well treed, so It requires some decent control. It's a great course to test your skills, without too many sand traps. Lots of shade too! Par: 4, 4, 3, 4, 3, 4, 5, 5, 4
