What People Say

In summary

John Conrad Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained and challenging layout, with particularly fast and undulating greens that add to the golfing experience. The course's proximity to downtown Oklahoma City and Tinker Air Force Base, along with its affordability and friendly staff, enhance its appeal. However, some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with customer service, specifically citing issues with a staff member named Joe and policies regarding rain checks.

One of my favorite courses in the City. Great layout, challenging setup, tough greens. If you also like jets flying over in your backswing then you need to play here. It's great.

It's hard to give a good review for golf courses that are in the winter time, so the greens are extremely fast. it's hard to maintain due to the weather and so on and so forth but I think they do the very best they can and so get out there and enjoy.

What a great course. Kinda tight and narrow in a few spots, but ultimately a fun place to get in 18 holes close to Downtown OKC & Tinker AFB and not breaking the bank. Very well maintained, new carts, fully stocked pro shop & multiple practice and driving range practice options. Most definitely the best it's ever been.

JC has a really well kept course with stellar greens that are very challenging and some of the best in OK. The staff is outstanding and helpful but you do have to ask for certain amenities!

I recently had the pleasure of playing a round at John Conrad Golf Course in Midwest City, and I can't help but share my wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, it was apparent that this wasn't just any golf course; it was a well-maintained, challenging, and above all, enjoyable setup. The course itself is beautifully taken care of. It's evident that the grounds crew puts in a lot of effort to maintain not just the fairways, but especially the greens. Ah, the greens—challenging is an understatement! They're wavy, fast, and make you think twice before every putt. Pin placement is des…

I paid for an 18 hole green fee at the course. Not only did they overbook, but they refused to offer a rain check even tho there was a literal severe thunderstorm. They had a 5some out taking about 20-25 minutes per hole. It took nearly 3 hours to get through 8 holes which is when the storm pictured rolled in. I went in the club house and asked if they would offer a rain check for the back 9 at which point the man behind the counter said “if you got to play the front 9 we wont do a rain check” absolutely the worst golf experience I’ve had. Would recommend spending your money else where.

5 years ago I wouldn't waste my time or drive to play Conrad, now it is my favorite municipal course in the Metro and apart from Twin Hills CC all the privates i have played have been just equal too or less than the quality of Conrad. Greens are challenging and as long as they aren't rolling at a 10 it's a fun challenge. Above a 10 well sometimes you will want to kick a greenskeeper in the face for pin placement. The tee boxes are level wide and well maintained and with the new sod and fairway management it's like playing from turf when you land in the fairway.

JOE is extremely rude and doesn’t deserve to work at that beautiful course. I asked to play 18 holes today and he said, “are you ready to go right now” and he was noticeably irritable. I told him yes I was ready to play and he proceeded to say, “$46 then, scorecard is in front of you, first tee box is over there.” Then he hurried off to the back where he was hiding at when I arrived. I actually wanted to get a range token, drink, and snack, but I didn’t want to bother the dude or speak to him any longer than I had to. I have actually played this course at least 100x the last couple years and I…

Very surprised by this course! Very challenging greens, but we enjoyed it! This course goes toe to toe with any of the other okc municipal courses!

Great golf course! Best course I’ve played all year. Exceptional staff. I live several hours away and left my range finder in my cart and they made sure I got it back. I’ll definitely be back to play when in the area again!

Open off the tee box. Second shot is important with the undulated greens! GREENS ARE FANTASTIC!
