In summary

Kawartha Golf & Country Club is praised for its well-maintained course, beautiful and challenging layout, and friendly, professional staff. The picturesque setting and Stanley Thompson design add to its appeal, making it a favorite among both local and visiting golfers. However, some visitors express concerns about the ongoing construction, future downsizing of the course, and the need for clubhouse improvements.

In the heart of Peterborough lies one of the beautiful golf courses. The ground is well maintained with a magnificent entrance covered by tall and mature trees. The terrain is a mix of hills, ponds, and is surrounded by a stunning landscape. The course and clubhouse are well maintained and are well equipped to host business updates, weddings, or special occasions. Unfortunately, part of the golf course will be converted into condominiums and luxury housing, and the golf course will be downsized from 18 holes to 12 or 9 in the next 2 to 3 years.

Fantastic golf course. Layout was so much fun. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful for my first time playing the course.

What an incredible golf course. 14 of 18 holes were beautiful. Lots of elevation changes which added to the Beauty. To me holes 3, 4, 7, 8, 10 and 18 were stellar. I golfed with my 15 year old and when he walked up to the tee blocks of the 4th, 7th, 8th and 10th holes he said “whoa”. I have never heard him say that on a golf course before (and he’s played a few courses in the top 100 in canada). Incredible bunkers too. Scoregolf has this course at 120, it should definitely be higher than that! I will play here again. Thank you Stanley!!

This is a really nice golf course. Some very beautiful picturesk holes. The greens where fast and true. There are a few small things around greens and tees that need cleaned up. There is a need for a new clubhouse. The driving range, more like a chipping area, maybe 175 yards to the back.

One of the best valued golf courses in the world...I've played on over 50 other courses in many countries and coming back to this well maintained course is a special treat. The picturesque vistas / hillside walks are breathtaking. It's a short course on paper...now try to break 80...there's lots of kawartha pars out there, take your bogey and move on...the greens r on the small size, but fair and challenging! Especially hole 6...u think 3ft of break...try 7 to 12...lol Bring a good wedge as the greenside rough is a few extra strokes on the sheet...well groomed bunkers I played here for 15yr…

Honest Review. The Ultimate Club is a 5/10. The worst part about this dish is the melted Swiss. The melted Swiss does not taste good & it takes away the taste from the other great ingredients to which the other ingredients are actually great with the crispy toasted bread. Just to let people know, you have to pay a GRATUITY fee here as you can see on your receipt which is $3 which is pretty much a service fee. I'm never coming back here ever again because of that service fee.

My favourite course in all of Peterborough and hole 7 takes your breath away in the fall. A must try course for all golf enthusiasts. You won’t be disappointed!

Feels like you’re in another world despite golfing in the middle of Peterborough. The course is a challenging layout with greens that roll like concrete. It is taken care of at a high level. This year, they opened bookings to the public, but only during restricted days and times. Worth a play if you’re not a member - if only to experience a more exclusive and upscale course in the Kawarthas.

One of the top courses in Peterborough and surrounding area. It's hard to believe you're in the middle of a city on most of the holes. The renovations they did after the land sale makes the back 9 more forgetful than the front. No new clubhouse for the forseeable future is tough.
