In summary

Key West Golf Club is generally praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly staff, providing an enjoyable golfing experience for many visitors. However, some guests express concerns about the high pricing, strict adherence to course rules, and limited amenities, such as restroom facilities and beverage services. While some find the staff welcoming and professional, others have encountered less accommodating interactions and note occasional issues with pace of play.

We weren’t expecting much because of the bad reviews about the pro shop staff, but we ended up being pleasantly surprised! Everyone in the pro shop was kind and welcoming, nothing like previous reviews had mentioned. The course was in good shape and had a good pace of play. Rental clubs were in great shape, and had a great time!

I dont understand the bad reviews on the staff. Everyone was nice and professional. This a nice golf course and there is etiquette and rules. Just abide. Its not that hard. There are some dog track courses in the Keys. This is NOT one of them. Nice course, though a little pricey for tourists. My only complaint is that you may get a foursome of locals behind you that can be...well, not accomodative (the word i want to use, you can't print). We played with a couple of locals and we were keeping up with time you should be playing. We aren't great golfers but we picked up when necessary and kept t…

Course was in great shape and fun to play. Staff was nice! Don't get scared by the reviews. Definitely a great course and a fun experience on Key West. Greens, tee boxes and fairways were fun, challenging and in great shape.

We were part of a Cruise that made a stop in Key West in the end of Dec and decided to play a little golf, I did my due diligence read the reviews, some good and some bad but was willing to make my own decision. Glad I did the staff were all very friendly Juan in the pro shop is a person who if I had a business to run would definitely be my front of house go to guy. The course was in great condition even with the rain they received prior to and unfortunately mid round. The rental clubs were top shelf and the cart staff were helpful and friendly. Don’t be swayed by the negative comments as I fo…

Was disappointed that the Military Days (Monday & Wednesday) have been discontinued. Always enjoyed playing this course! 1:15 PM Tee Time yesterday. My wife and I visit Key West every May for two weeks for the past five years. My Father and I were both born in Key West. Both our Veterans. Don’t ever remember being this hot in May in the past ? Got seriously overheated by the 8th Hole and decided to terminate my round. The cart lady was concerned, and supplied me with ice bag for my neck and shoulders, I was so grateful and appreciative for the class she showed me. I called the Clubhouse the ne…

Very disappointing experience. Our group of five was excited to play together and even offered to pay for a third cart, but the staff— who weren't very polite—strictly enforced a "no groups larger than four" policy with no exceptions allowed. This rigid rule forced us to split up, completely ruining the fun group outing we had planned. To make matters worse, there are no toilets or restrooms anywhere on the course itself—you have to head back to the clubhouse if needed. For a vacation destination with high prices, this lack of flexibility, unfriendly staff, and basic amenities feels unnecess…

We love visiting Lindsey at the Key West Golf Club. Her service is impeccable and she is one of the nicest human beings you'll find anywhere.

Play this course for the history - it's an America golfing treasure that is open to the public. Excellent layout and routing - Reese Jones did a tasteful job updating the course. A number of holes are sneaky long especially when wind is blowing, making club selection challenging. Playing surfaces were good considering the volume of play the course gets year-round and weather conditions. This track is worth a visit.

Worth the 150 bucks. Range isn’t very good but nice balls. Course is really fun. Great layout that will leave you some long approach shots into greens. challenging greens complex. condition was acceptable. Rough 5/10 Fairway 8/10 Greens 7/10 Staff were very welcoming and polite, not sure where the negative feedback is coming from. I’m assuming people did not read the rules and try to put the blame on the staff… There is a 2 cart max per group and you cannot play in twosomes or alone, so expect to not be able to have a rider.

First of all the positives, played today 10-9-25 and course is in great shape right down to the t-boxes. Not a bad spot on the course. Very pricey but I guess when you’re the only game in town you can get that kind of money. Again course in great shape but not worth the money you pay. Now the reason for the 3 star rating, how many golf courses do you know of that don’t want the slow groups letting the faster groups around. We (2 of us)were on 5 and a group of 4 that we had caught up to twice let us play thru, Next thing we know the ranger comes up to us and admonishes us for playing thru the f…

Muni golf at resort prices. Cost for 2 with carts rental clubs, gloves and balls about $650. Course and facility a mid muni offering but this is the only course around so monopoly pricing. Great wildlife abounds but track is boring. Decently maintained (considering its Feb). Staff and service stink. Just wait until you get home!!!

The fact that this place has three stars is generous maybe one of the worst courses I’ve ever played $170. The greens are shit. The sand is never prepped after raining would rather play wii golf then come here again. Both cart girls are awesome the only highlight of this course
