In summary

Kings Grant Golf & Country Club is praised for its challenging layout, friendly staff, and well-maintained greens, making it a popular choice for both casual and serious golfers. The course offers a good mix of risk and reward, with a variety of elevations and strategic shot placements. However, some visitors have noted issues with drainage, inconsistent tee boxes, and occasional slow pace of play due to large groups or lack of on-course management. Despite these concerns, the overall value and amenities, including a welcoming clubhouse and quality practice facilities, contribute to a generally positive experience.

I play here occasionally so I am familiar with the year round conditions. Today was my first round of the new year and first since October. Here's the in depth review. Tee Boxes 3/5 - There are a number of tee boxes damaged to the point of needing replacing. There are some that seem to have been given up on and now they have turf mats. Fairways 4/5 - Holds water after rain, but is in otherwise good condition. Greens 4/5 - Greens are pretty consistent and don't have any dead spots or noticeable blemishes. Speed isn't as consistent on some holes due to their placement around water. Bunkers 3/5…

Very fun course. It's short but very challenging. Any missed hit, and the ball is likely gone. I have donated so many Pro V1s and TP5/TP5x balls into the swamp, creeks, and thick brushes. Risk/ reward management, which I rarely see in other courses that I have played at. Tee boxes had artificial turf which I thought was strange and low class. After a few lost balls, I realized the amount of rehit from the T is very common causing a lot of wear and tear. So it makes perfect sense. Greens were smooth and fast. Fairway is very tight and has good up/down hills layout. Would definitely play this…

The pricing for buckets is fair, especially given the ball quality and overall facility. The on-site Grille is surprisingly good. It's a full-service, casual spot with great burgers and cold beer—perfect for winding down after a session. They also have a decent practice putting green. The staff is always friendly and quick to help.

I really enjoyed the golf there. Great course, great people, and honestly such a solid atmosphere to unwind. As a local realtor, I’m always looking at areas through the lens of lifestyle too. This spot absolutely delivers on that golf-side living vibe. It’s a place I’d gladly go back to again.

The golf course is challenging and fun to play. You will have to utilize all of your golf shots on this course. The greens are fast but, the greens are really smooth. Be confident with your putts. The club house is fantastic and the food is delicious.

There was a 5some in the way amd did not let us play through. No policing of the course. We got stuck for 4 holes behind the Golden Girls. Multiple times were there large groups ahead and no courtesy play through. No one was on course to direct slow traffic. Very frustrating

The newly remodeled clubhouse is really nice with lots of seating areas, televisions, and a small bar. Waiting on the kitchen to open so no food quite yet but this place is very welcoming and full of friendly people.

June 2018. Significant work has taken place. Still more needs to be done but there was so much taking place while we were there that I am sure that Kings Grant will be back to being one of the premier courses in the area very soon. Update September 2020 Talk about change! Clubhouse is amazing and bathrooms are spotless. Gunnery Sergeant Hartman would have been proud to come into this Head. The course was in awesome shape and only fine tuning needs to be done now. Still some sod being put down and cart paths being fixed but mostly minor issues. Greens were a bit fast yesterday which played to…

Great staff, decent course for the area and price. Greens are rolling well and smooth, but the tee boxes are basically non existent currently.
