In summary

Stryker Golf Course receives praise for its well-maintained greens and the value it offers, particularly for those looking for a course that is accommodating to high handicap golfers. The disc golf setup on the back nine is also appreciated by visitors. However, there are consistent criticisms regarding the condition of the fairways and tee boxes, which many find poorly maintained, as well as issues with customer service, with some staff described as unprofessional. The driving range is noted to be turf-only, and some visitors express a desire for better amenities, such as covered areas and improved signage.

Not a bad driving range. I just wished there was cover over the driving area, it got really hot. Large basket was $14, I’m not sure how many balls but, I’m guessing about 150-170 balls give or take. Apparel prices were a bit high even with the “sale”. The staff could be more welcoming.

Great course. Did not play regular golf but rather disc golf. Very nice course that was setup as a disc golf course 9n the back 9.

Stryker is a great golf course off the beaten path and you get a lot for your money regarding quality of the course. The front 9 are great for high handicap golfers with barely any roads/houses your hook or slice can impact. Be mindful of certain holes in close proximity to the driving range. Driving range is turf only.

Rude, unprofessional staff. Especially the way they treated an active military member and a veteran. The fairways are brown and not kept well. If I'm going to pay $300 for a golf game, I should enjoy the golf. Nope. They made it a point to come out to us to tell us we couldn’t let people play through if they were catching up to us, and then kept coming out to “check” on us. Absolutely ridiculous. Worst golf course etiquette I’ve ever seen from the worst kept golf course I’ve ever been at.

For this kind of golf course… I would feel more comfortable with a 3,5 stars … it is not a 4 but neither a 3…. It isn’t well maintained but it is enjoyable….

Sadly this course is kept in poor shape. Barren spots in the fairway play like hazards. The greens are well maintained, but the rest of the course is struggling. Tee boxes are full of rough ground, weeds are overgrown into the sand traps, and rye grass quickly outgrows the fairway.

It's golf. It is always a good experience. I brought some of my players here for some Saturday morning fellowship at the driving range. The attendants at the pro-shop are and have always being nice and helpful with my tee time and even on a day like today, hanging out with my team.

Shot my worst round of the year so far, but that was my fault. Onto the review. Tee Boxes 3.5/5 - Some tee boxes are beyond natural repair. Fairways 3.5/5 - Mixed grass means you could have a good or bad lie in the fairway. Noticeable bare spots. Greens 5/5 - No complaints to be had about the greens. They roll true at about a 10.5 or 11. The green shapes have a good amount of undulations making shot placement important. They hold shots well, being slightly firm. Bunkers 3/5 - I was in a surprising amount of bunkers today. These bunkers seem to be made from light beach sand. Depth and amoun…

One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a golf course. My expectations weren’t to high to begin with based on things I had heard about the course itself but I never expected to have such poor customer service as well. When I checked in I was greeted by a nice young lady but the older gentlemen behind the counter quickly took over and was extremely rude. First he stated matter of factly that I would have to pair up on a cart. Not a big deal other than I was the only one there. I let them know it was my first time playing there and asked if they had any pointers for me and his only respo…

The layout of the course is good and the price is great. Now, the fairways are terrible. Why don’t you cut the grass and fix those potholes. It was like driving over Swiss cheese. This could be a great course. It was so disappointing to play on this military course. I won’t be back to this course unless it receives an overhaul.

Edit jan 2024...Sad to read that the current conditions are not too good. It sounds like the greens are still in good shape but fairways and tees are very poor..... Original review: I've been to Stryker many times over the years. My daughter played many JR golf and high school matches there. This was once a sad little Donald Ross design but over the last couple of years it has gradually done a complete 180. The greens used to be marginal but now are plush Champion Bermuda. I was surprised to find out that it has been the same grass for 8 years! A new Greens Superintendent and Army Brass willin…

A really easy, short, straight golf course. Boring to play but good to play if you're new to golf or you don't play often. The course wasn't in the best shape. The grass was ridiculously long. It was a cow pasture for the most part and a few holes have bad washout issues. The greens were in pretty good shape but they definitely overwatered a few. They were sponges. The Pro Shop is pretty nice but expect full vendor price for everything. The gentleman working was nice and helpful. I only gave it 3 stars because it's not very well kept. (Biggest issues was sponges greens, a few teeboxes that wer…
