The course layout is considered both fun and challenging, and the overall setting is appreciated for its natural beauty. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the high pricing and the ongoing restoration of the lake, which affects the course's appeal. Additionally, there are occasional reports of communication issues and past management challenges.

Woodlake Country Club has truly impressed me with how far it has come! The Maples Course is beautifully maintained, with smooth greens and fairways that play consistently. The layout is both fun and challenging, offering a good mix of holes that make you think about your shots. The staff are warm and welcoming, and you can tell they care about making every guest feel at home. The new clubhouse is a great addition, with nice dining options and a comfortable atmosphere to relax after a round. While the lake is still in the process of being restored, you can already see the vision for how gorge…

What a course! Ownership continuing with improvements over the entire property! Thought the condition was fantastic last year and somehow managed to improve this year! Maybe one of if not the best condition in the area! When the dam and lake are complete in the coming years it will be even more impressive! Definitely a must place without crazy amount of people like other area courses!

Stunning and newly renovated golf course in Vass, NC. Discard the negative reviews from 8+ years ago, completely revamped and new management. This course is on the rise and will be one of the best in Moore County in the next 10 years. Come check it out!

I was at a company event recently at Woodlake Country Club and had a really great time. The new pickleball courts are awesome—such a nice setup whether you’re just playing for fun or getting competitive. We ate at Maples Grill and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, and the cannolis were huge—honestly the biggest I’ve ever seen. I didn’t get out on the golf course, but it looked to be in really good shape. Also took a quick peek at the fitness center, which looks brand new and really well done. The staff were all super friendly and professional, and everything just ran smoothly.…

The course is nice but definitely not worth the price is way high for what the course offers. The staff was fabulous and the food was great also. If they didn't charge almost $200 for a round it would be worth it, especially when there are other courses near them that is just as nice for a better price. The lake being empty is also a disappointment.

The Maples Course is well maintained! The New owners have brought this place back to life and have built everything back up from scratch. Highly recommended 18 holes and then have a meal at the Maples Grill! The food is amazing as well!

This course is a hidden gem! We played this course with a large group and it is insanely beautiful. Fairways were immaculate, greens were rolled to perfections and the staff at the club and bar were very friendly and accommodating. We will be continuing to come here next time we are in Pinehurst.

The food was fantastic! Would absolutely recommend eating here after your round! After the renovation the course is doing good. Still has a ways to go but the layout is amazing!

An amazing beautiful property last year but the lake being drained due to the weakness of the dam has taken away a lot of its glamour. It is one of the most beautiful places and like living at a National Park when the water is full and the two courses have so much to explore. I sure hope they fix it soon. Even without the water it is still a magnificently beautiful course.

This place had (and still has) such great potential, but the current management and owner has road this place to the ground. Now that the home owner association has won the law suit, hopefully they can get it back up and running, the golf course and lake have such beautiful potential.
