In summary

Kokopelli Golf Course receives praise for its well-maintained fairways, lush green appearance, and challenging layout, which many find enjoyable. The course has undergone improvements, with a noticeable effort in management and amenities, including a well-stocked pro shop and good practice facilities. However, some visitors express concerns about the high green fees relative to the perceived value, inconsistent service such as limited beverage cart availability, and maintenance issues like rough bunkers and greens needing attention.

Buckle up for a bumpy tale folks… hadn’t played this track in years and was hoping to catch some nostalgia, but instead we caught a $97 (after taxes and fees), Tuesday morning green fee on a poorly maintained course. If you ride a Harley and like to play in jeans, this course is for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and spend the extra $20-$40 to play elsewhere. Would have been fine paying $50 or so for this round, but man, once you escape the first hole the ruse is on. As a former baseball pitcher I thought I was back on the mound, but with a driver in hand; some of these tee boxes had me…

Played on 11/2/2025, a week after reopening from the over seeding. The course was in better shape than I thought it would be. The bunkers were rough with some having no sand and others having standing water but we played them as ground under repair. You will have decent lies as long as you keep the ball in the fairways. You can run the risk of muddy water puddles and/or mud if you miss the fairways. Greens were in good shape considering the over seed, a little shaggy and slow as expected but actually putted true for us. Cart path only as the course heals so walking would have been a nice optio…

Had the pleasure of playing Kokopelli Golf Club today after a 4-year hiatus and let me tell you, this wasn’t luck or “magic.” What I saw is the direct result of strong leadership, hard work, and execution. A new manager who clearly decided to raise the bar and deliver results. ⛳️ $65 rate on Super Bowl Sunday with meal included (Arcis Prime Member) 🌱 Fluffy, well-maintained fairways 🟢 Greens solid 7/10 (would be better if everyone fixed their divots 😉) 🛍️ Pro shop fully stocked inventory is back The change is obvious and noticeable across the course. I also had the pleasure of meeting the M…

Never have I sat in a clubhouse and wait 40 minutes for 3 breakfast tacos. Standing ice on the course not allowed to drive on the grass until 9 AM after the round pretty much and overbooked like crazy. I don’t know who’s running this place but someone needs to do a better job at managing the teetimes and getting more help in the kitchen.

Grass is green and fluffy. Good coverage on the Fairways. Tee boxes level and full of grass. Greens have a lot of movement with good conditions. Great layout. Price is a great value. 10/10 would recommend. Will return.

I visited Kokopelli for the first time today and was immediately impressed as I drove in. Unlike many courses in Arizona where it can be tough to maintain that vibrant green look, Kokopelli stood out; deep green grass everywhere, which was a great first impression. Walking into the clubhouse, the pro shop is conveniently located to the left and fully stocked with all the essentials for gameplay. On the right, there’s a smaller kitchen and bar area, perfect for grabbing a quick bite or drink before or after your round. I only had time to hit the practice facilities today, but I had a great ex…

To be honest, the course is in decent shape. Greens are nice, fairways are for the most part lush and cut well. My issue is paying $120 for a $45 course. Ive been in phoenix for 10 years now, and I understand this time of the year prices are higher. You can't really control the location or conditions in parts of the course, but at least make thr service better. We saw the cart girl 3 times in a 5 and a half hour round, no ball cleaners on the course, water jugs empty by 1 pm. At least make the service worth 128 if you cant control the course. All in all, shot a 78 enjoyed my day but could be…

This course has a very challenging layout made even more challenging by The lack of maintenance. The fairways are in decent shape but almost no rough unless dirt qualifies as rough. There are a ton of what I would describe as moguls adjacent to the fairways. The greens are very challenging but unfortunately they closely depict the surface of the Moon. If they were maintained, they would be awesome. The electric golf carts are very nice but appear as though they haven't been washed in years. The traps have good sand in them but nobody rakes. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. They ha…

I played 2 days ago and was pleasantly surprised at the improvements to the course. The fairways were full and green, the tee boxes were pretty green, and the greens were full. The bunkers now have sand and lots of it and pretty loose stuff, not packed down. Best I've see te course in many years! Now the complaints... the rough is still dirt, but less debris in them, so the ball can be hit at times from the bare ground. The first and 9th fairways are still full of range balls, which you would think the ranger should be able to pick up. And finally my big complaint is the golf cart were DISGUST…

I’ve been playing here on the Sunday skins game for the past 3 weeks running - and I have to tell you it’s the best deal in town by far! Teetime comes with a small bucket at 1 free drink soda/beer/well can’t beat that deal for the price. They have made a lot of improvements to the course and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I’m a member @Verrado GC in the west valley and drive an hour just to play in this $kins game and I’m happy to do it weekly.

I've gone here a couple of times now, usually after work, so I only get to do about 9-13 holes. It's not too pricey at this time. The green has been getting a lot better as of late. It's always a good time since we usually get a fun group of 4-8 people. I've never done the driving range here, but it seems pretty busy most of the time during the late hours. They have electric golf carts available.
