Western Skies Golf Club

This is hands down the best bang for your buck for winter golf in AZ. This is my second time golfing here as an out of towner and it was once again a fantastic time! What needs to be green is green and in absolutely fantastic shape. The staff is always so happy and helpful and the course is exciting but not too challenging. This course is always on my list when I come to AZ to golf!

Probably one of the nicer east valley spots that can be a good value if you get a reduced fare on GolfNow. The conditions are decent despite a few mud puddles, at least it's not dried out. Please repair the several broken sections of the cart path. The hot dogs are high quality but the snack bar at the turn was closed during peak hours this Saturday so had to go inside the restaurant and order to-go, thankfully didn't take long.

Probably more 3.5 stars than 4, but it was okay. Bought small bucket of balls for driving range, but was so packed we almost didn't get to use them. Probably should have told us that. Course was pretty good. Nice challenging layout. Greens were in good shape, but not always consistent in regard to speed. Fairways were decent, but some repair work going on. Didn't have a Marshall on the course, which would have helped the slow play. Would probably play again, but probably not my first choice.

This place has a huge and greatly maintained golf course and driving range. They also have food and beverages. I also like to train watch in the parking lot next to the Warner Rd railroad.

Played course March 16, 2024. The gentleman in the pro shop were outstanding and warm welcoming. Practice facilities are in great condition and allows you to work on every part of your game. They also have a cart girl that is constantly driving around. As for the course it is in excellent condition. I have no complaints about any tee box, fairway, green, or bunker. The maintenance crew clearly cares about their jobs and should be recognized. First off, employees in the golf shop were very kind and on top of it as far as getting me checked in in a timely fashion! Kudos to Maddie, she helped me at the counter. The golf course is in great shape with very few dry spots, most of them were on the rough areas. Fairways were ideal and greens are the best I've seen there, but of course, like most public courses, sooooo many divots that I felt like it took me 4-5 minutes on every green. I put on a golf outing for 16 people. Kyle in the office was great getting everything set up and very responsive to all my questions. Course was in good shape and we had a blast. Thanks again.

First time playing and will definitely be making this a regular course to come to. Great first experience! Terry in the clubhouse was excellent. I walked on for a solo round, and he was awesome getting me checked in! He even checked in with me after my round and asked about it! The Course was great. Lots of par 4s and 5s the play seems evenly spaced out so no one gets stacked on each other. The Hospitality seems to be where they fall short. Check in people are a little short like they have better things to do besides check you in.

Course is in decent shape, nice golf carts and helpful staff. Will definitely play again!

Nice course, prices are reasonable, staff friendly and professional. Cart girls provide a great selection of beverages and friendly enough. Worth going back for another round or two.

As others have said this course has been around a while and you'd think they'd know how to grow grass on the fairways and on the greens. They are holding the pre-qualifier here for the Waste Management on the 23rd and I'm embarrassed for them. The course is in terrible condition. The maintenance staff drive around like they're in a derby and tear up the grass in front of the greens (hole 10 is a perfect example), plus they over-water so there's lots of mud on the fairways and around the greens.
