Superstition Springs Golf Club

My son and I spent 3 days in the PHX area playing different courses. We played 2 rounds at Superstition Springs. The staff was excellent. The course was in pretty good shape. It is a creative layout and pretty challenging. The practice area could be better. The pace of play was atrocious. In our first round there was a slow group in front of us with two empty holes in front of them. No Player Assistant anywhere to be seen to help things along. The second round was also super slow. Twice, there were 4 groups at a single tee box. When we made the turn we had to wait almost 30 minutes to tee off…

Old school course, a little bit of everything, most greens elevated and a great challenge. Staff is always the best and food is great. Today Harvey and Caleb were awesome. Played as a single and got me off in the clear between groups and went extremely smooth! Love this place.

Had my brother in laws celebration of life here. Kiki and her staff were absolutely amazing. Superstition is an amazing place to host an event. Food was great. Really really good. Chicken and carne asada soft tacos with rice and beans. Clean, professional and very supportive. Attention to detail was appreciated. Thanks again Kiki and team!! Mario would have been pleased.

The pace of play here isn’t bad luck, it’s a business decision. Eight-minute tee time intervals virtually guarantee backups before anyone even reaches the turn. The owner compares it to a wreck on the 101, like there’s nothing management can do. But the USGA has repeatedly said tee-time spacing is one of the biggest drivers of pace of play. Rangers can’t solve congestion created by overscheduling the tee sheet. The slow rounds here aren’t an accident. They’re the product.

A challenging golf course. One excellent feature is the quality of the greens. They are wonderfully maintained, fairly fast and very uniform speed throughout the course. The sand bunkers also are well maintained and consistent. My wife and I enjoy the course as well as the restaurant. The breakfast is quite good. Highly recommended.

4 1/2 hours and didn't even get 17 & 18 done. Had to quit. We saw a Marshall once and didn't even ask us how the pace of play was. Spoke to the pro shop and all I got was sorry...nothing to really entice us to go back. Guess they don't really care.

What kinda rules are you keeping here? Charging 2 dollars a minute for anything over 4 hours. What a damn joke. I can’t believe people willingly hand over money to you for golf. You’re the lowest of the low. You should consider firing the old guy who was completely rude to your paying guests. Check the web. The video is pretty damning.

Phenomenal course conditions! The overseed came in beautifully and the bunkers with new sand play perfectly. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. Superstition Springs continues to be one of my favorite Phoenix-area courses.

Very disappointed in the conditions. I know it's almost overseed time (if they're overseeing here), but this place is not good. The greens were super slow- MAYBE rolling 7-8 on the Stimp. Tees were extremely hard. Fairways were spotty for good grass. I could see that this was a really good course at one time. The layout was pretty ok. The scorecard was incorrect on 3-4 holes. I had never played here and I get to the 6th hole and the scorecard says par 5, the tee sign and my app says par 3- happend several times. Maybe there was a renovation done but get rid of the old scorecards!! I got a $19…

The course is in great shape! Loved seeing the new sand in the bunkers and the tees/fairways were pure. Food afterwards was incredible and made for an overall great experience. Highly recommend

The management knows the course needs some work and is working on it. Partly it’s the golfers fault. I see a lot of players here that don’t repair ball marks, divots, and drive like idiots all over the course. They don’t pick up practice balls or help keep up. The pro shop is good. Staff is always super friendly.Lounge and bar are comfortable. I have hope for the future of the course. Went to a hosted beer/food dinner. It was excellent.
