In summary

La Contenta Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful course layout, well-maintained fairways, and friendly staff. Visitors enjoy the scenic setting and the quality of the food and service at the clubhouse. However, some guests have experienced issues with slow pace of play and occasional management challenges, such as overbooked tee times and unreliable golf carts.

The staff was friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Since it was prior to a Holiday weekend, they made sure to advise us that it was important to book any weekend tee times to insure times were available. The course was in the best shape that I had seen it. The fairways were clean and well kept, while the greens were manicured and fair. Definitely will be playing here again. The course was very good for the price point of the green fees.

It’s a beautiful course, but poorly managed. We got stuck behind a tournament, so it was very very slow going. Most the courses I’ve played always leave some time between groups, but not this place. We had 2 groups watching us tee off the 1st hole, and we tee off 5 minutes early. We finally left after the 8th hole. It was so slow I couldn’t even warm up. Definitely the most expensive eight holes I’ve ever played lol. Hopefully someone reads this from there and makes it right.

10/10 recommend! My family and I came to visit relatives and they brought us this golf club. We ate there around 1 pm on a Saturday and sat on the outdoor balcony. The scene was beautiful and our waitress was super sweet and amazing! She made sure to always keep our water filled and even brought us a complimentary lemonade for my cousin lol. The prices are normal, nothing crazy. The food was delicious!!

They stack tee times 4 minutes apart. Paired my threesome with a twosome and didn’t let us know, just gave us the same tee time. Had a group of players in front of us that were taking their time at the tee box and greens and instead of the marshal encouraging them to speed it up, he just told us hey it’s going to be a long day. Also our cart died half way through and we weren’t the only ones that happened to. Took 6 hours to play 18 holes. It’s a shame and a pity that such a beautiful course is being managed so poorly especially considering the price. Unless you have the luxury of plenty of ti…

Simply gross BLT black burnt bacon, brown lettuce a iffy tomato slice and 1 drop in the middle of mayonnaise. I ate a few bites to keep the group ok. This place is so disgusting. I left the sandwich in my nephews car I'll get picture to post asap.

I meant to post sooner but work is fast paced right now and I’m forgetful. My daughters took me to La Contenta for Mother’s Day. It was such a fun experience because my daughters are amazing but also what made it extra fun and just an all around great experience was the amazing workers! Thank you!

I really enjoyed this course. I feel like the design is beautiful and it's got a lot of challenges. My only complaint is that the greens seemed like they were in only okay shape. None the less I would definitely play this course again and certainly plan to next time I am in Valley Springs.

Love the vibe, low key and quality of food. Usually come for breakfast on weekends, great staff and service, plus good views of the Golf course. Prices are extremely reasonable being in a country club.

The course is in great shape. Today, but the pace of play was terrible (5 1/2 hours). The cause was one group about 4 groups ahead of us who just could not play. They let groups play through, but that didn't help us. We ended up following them from 16 on, and they took about 4 swings for one of ours. I wish a Marshall was on them and got them to play faster or pick up occasionally. Otherwise, I don't think they were overbooked, and the course and greens were in great shape.

Not my favorite course, but was in good condition vs past. A little wet (over watered) but greens were consistent albeit slow. As always, plays narrow and has some odd holes, but worth the drive.
