LaFayette Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained fairways, greens, and overall scenic beauty, making it a popular choice among golfers in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas. The course layout is noted for its variety, with a distinct difference between the older front nine and the newer back nine. While the staff and amenities generally receive positive feedback, some visitors have expressed concerns about the pace of play and management practices, suggesting room for improvement in these areas.

Really surprised by this municipal golf course. The back 9 are much newer and just gorgeous to play on for a newbie like myself. I found the front 9 to be a little simpler to play than the newer back 9. But the whole course is very enjoyable. The course is well taken care of, as are the greens. I found the greens to be pretty fast as a very amateur golfer. Friendly staff and players, nice golf carts, good prices and scenic course with little to noise pollution. Though you'll hear an occasional small aircraft take off from the nearby airport, which I love as an aviation enthusiast. 😁

The course was well maintained, but it's narrow for my far less than accurate game. The greens were small and not receptive. (The hand full of times I hit a green the ball ran off) The greens did putt very true. Over all it's a good course, just not for a high handicaper

Over priced poor, with poor maintenance. It's cheaper to drive to another course that doesn't feel like you're playing in your backyard.

I love my local course, but the golf course common sense sailed a long time ago here. They bring in a great superintendent to get the course looking good, but the club house is ran so poorly. Constantly let 5somes go off on the weekend, people are constantly wearing jeans, (I mean the head pro only wear jeans too sooooooo) have zero respect for pace of play (called club house once, told us to get over it, they can’t afford a Marshall. Stuck behind two dudes, one bag, both wearing jeans. My final straw today, had a 10 for 3 peeps and a 948 for one. Asked to please move the one they gave a tee t…

We really enjoyed the golf course. However when you check in, the staff obviously hate their jobs and don't want to work there. It's unfortunate that that's the first impression you get when you come to the golf course.

If you are around the Chattanooga area or the North Georgia area and want to play golf at a very nice course. This is the course to play at. The Fairways are a little tight but there are some holes that are wide open. Little water trouble but it's only on no.2 and no.18. Played my first time on this course yesterday (Oct 22, 2023). Fairways were maintained very well. Better than most courses in the area honestly. The roughs were very true roughs as well. The Greens were fantastic. It was a true green than what I have played at before. The course was very beautiful early in the morning. The dri…

Surprisingly good course and an exceptional value. Open fairways. No sand, but plenty of deep grass. Some water, but not excessive. Would definitely play again. And again. Wish my home muni course was this good. Reminded me of the NY State Park courses I used to play.

I was looking for lessons and found Eddie on the website for LaFayette Golf course. Eddie is very knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to diagnose my my problems within 15 minutes and had me hitting shots I never thought I could as a beginner within 30 minutes. He gave me some “homework” and I can already tell a difference. The range balls are not expensive ($6 for a large) and the range is nice. Look forward to playing the course.

One of my favorite courses to play in the area. The greens are some of the best around for a municipal course. The staff are great. Ricky, the groundskeeper, keeps the course in excellent condition. I play here at least once a week. It's worth the drive from Chattanooga.

Really great public course! The staff at Lafayette take great pride in this course, and a lot of effort is put forth to keep the course in great shape. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are always pristine. It's a great place to play.
