In summary

Lake Oswego Golf Club is praised for its welcoming atmosphere, well-maintained greens, and thoughtful layout, making it enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels. The course's compact design offers a challenging short game experience, though some find the pricing high for a municipal course. Criticisms include occasional maintenance disruptions, scheduling issues, and limited food options, with some concerns about the proximity of holes leading to errant shots.

I've been here twice since it recently re-opened. I've found the L.O. Public Golf Course to be very welcoming and friendly. It's a great place to work on your game or have a quick round in your busy schedule. Given the limited space available, the redesign is a big success. It is moderately challenging, mainly due to undulating terrain and a few tiered greens. There are a few bunkers to punish the careless, a gulley on another hole, and a ball-eating wooded area in the middle of it all. One of the par 4's is an easy par, the other two present some challenges. Due to the relatively small footp…

The check-in area is very nice and gives a great first impression. The course starts with a par 4, which I really enjoyed. The putting greens were quite challenging, with noticeable slopes across most holes. Overall, it was a good experience, but I noticed some rough spots so the greens could use more care to match the quality of the rest of the facility.

I actually really like the course and find it interesting and challenging, facility is very nice and modern and the range is great (they use limited flight balls at the range FYI). My only complaint is they don't offer any discount or kids on course program discounts so if you wanna take your aspiring young golfers there you have to pay full price which I think is kind of silly for a municipal little short course. This ain't Pebble Beach guys knock it off.

I’m so impressed with the newly reopened Lake Oswego Golf Course! The renovations are fantastic—beautifully maintained greens, a thoughtful layout, and a welcoming vibe that makes it fun for golfers of all skill levels. It’s especially great to see people of all ages out enjoying the game, from kids and beginners to seasoned players. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the whole place feels like a true community hub. A wonderful addition to Lake Oswego—highly recommend checking it out!

The new layout is very impressive for an executive course that's a great short game test. The greens are all unique, including dynamic par 3's and par 4's like number 8 that's a blind dogleg left at 270.

When this was an 18 hole course it was ranked as one of the best executive par 3 courses in the US. It was affordable. You could play 18 for $24… it costs $48 now. the quality of the fairways and greens are not at the standard for the price you pay. Lots of people mowing during play made for delays. You could easily golf here for FREE if you wanted to. There was a guy at the 1st tee but both employees I saw did not care who or when you tee off. I was never asked when my tee time was or if it was my time to go. A group ahead of me was bragging about not paying.

Even if you never make par, you probably can on this course. It's a nice confidence booster. Senior pricing is good. Other reviews capture what there is to like. The biggest issue we had with this course is that there are way too many trees, especially Douglas firs. Any amount off to the left or right, and your ball WILL hit a tree. We got hit twice by other people's balls that bounced off trees, and also hit 2 other people. The Doug firs are messy, dropping needles and cones. It is hilly so be prepared for that. There is an area blocked off and marked as a wetland. It's basically a graveyard…

I wouldn't recommend this course for anyone who is pretty enfranchised with golf. But they do have a range and decent practice green. The course is very short, essentially just a par3 course. The holes are also quite close together and there is very little separation for tee boxes from the last hole. With one being maybe 15 yards directly behind the previous green. The course, depending on tee placement can be quite challenging with trees blocking iron shots onto the greens. Greens were also very fast and pretty challenging with lots of slopes. Greens also were not in the best shape. Quite a f…

This is a nice compact par 3 golf course. It is nestled in the trees with rolling hills. It's a good spot for practicing your short game.

The price is a bit high for 9 holes. course has lots of mounds that are not needed and make walking more difficult. The layout to register, warm up is totally out of sink and parking should be divided up by golf and aquatic so you don't have to lug your clubs 200 yards to register. groups we were with had balls(from other groups) come into right where they were hitting. Over all it is not worth $24 for 9 holes but it is not a bad little course to play

They took out a lot of trees and spread the holes out. It is visually appealing and lovely. With so much room they made a couple odd choices. On hole #5 (I think) they are asking to wait until the #6 t-box clears which makes it slow. Maybe there are plans for a net or a hedge which would fix it. #8 is potentially dangerous as the drive goes over the hill and you could easily hit into the group in front. I recommend leaving a cart or bag on top of the hill in view of the tee box until everyone is on the green as an alert to the group behind you not to tee off yet. Otherwise, just a bit expensiv…

We had made a tee time 2 days in advance to make sure we were able to get a time to play golf here today as it is my brothers birthday. We got to the course and they had no record of our tee time and they obviously couldn’t do anything as it was completely booked, hence why we booked the time 2 days in advance. It is extremely frustrating. We will not be coming back until they figure out the scheduling system.
