In summary

Eastmoreland Golf Course is praised for its beautiful, park-like setting and challenging layout, particularly on the back nine, with well-maintained greens and a variety of wildlife adding to the experience. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, and the course offers convenient amenities like a driving range and a pro shop. However, some visitors have noted issues with course marshals, occasional maintenance needs on tee boxes and sand traps, and challenges with drainage during wet months.

Nice golf course area with benches and plenty of animals. It is not gated so I was able to get in without having to play golf. Very calm.

Came here while visiting from Colorado. I really enjoyed this course. The trees make the course difficult but doable. Greens were in perfect condition, tee boxes could use some love. Tons of geese so there is a lot of poop! Nice long par 5’s. Nice staff and facilities. Friendly creatures on the course too! Would go back!

One of the best looking courses in the area. The back 9 were definitely more challenging. Lots of trees and bushes so if you’re a slicer bring extra balls.

Very beautiful 18 holes, located like in a large park. The second 9 much more challenging. Walk-ins welcome, I decided spontaneously and rented everything. Super-friendly staff in the shop. Very good rental clubs, I chose the better version for 35 USD. Excellent putter! Tee time can be booked online only (3USD), which is a bit of a drawback. I booked for 10am for myself only. They found the booking in the shop and I paid on site. Only at tee #1, I realised (actually was reminded by a staff member when I was about to start off slightly before 10am) that there were other players booked on the…

Good you have screens at driving range. This was yesterday. Bay 14, the camera is not catching shots shorter than 50 yards. Longer than 50 yards shots, 1 out of 3 wasn't getting caught.

This is a pretty low key place to go hit some balls. The employees are super nice. It isn't that expensive to go to the driving range. If I remember correctly, it was about 7$ for a medium bucket of balls. The actual course could use a little grooming, but overall a nice course. They have a pro shop, restaurant and bar.

My second favorite municipal golf course in Portland! Good pace of play good greens. If only it would drain better in the wet months, I'd give it 5 stars. But for the price and quality of greens it's a must play Muni.

Range and top golf sim were great but the staff made it seem like we were an inconvenience. Asked to play 9 and he said we wouldn’t be able to finish before sundown, we were at the range over two hours and it was still bright out.

Beautiful historic golf course that could easily be a wildlife sanctuary. The rates beyond fair and the customer service is excellent. It’s a challenging course for the most. Large trees keep the course tight and the greens are smaller then most newer courses. Don’t let the length fool you. Muddy in the winter so bring a towel, waterproof shoes and walk rather then ride.

This is my favorite course in Portland. It’s everything I want in a public golf course. I can take the MAX there, it’s an absolutely pleasant walk, and it holds two historical distinctions as the oldest municipal course in the city AND as the 2nd oldest course in the state. It has a double-decker driving range, which is a rarity for a central-city muni and the short range practice area is a decent size. I also so saw my first and, to date, only beaver since I moved to the Beaver State five years ago. The clubhouse is also sweet. It reminds me of a mini Timberline Lodge. If anyone is interested…
