In summary

Lakeview Golf Course is frequently praised for being beginner-friendly, well-maintained, and affordable, making it an ideal spot for families and new golfers. The course layout is simple with a mix of par 3s and 4s, and while it offers a pleasant setting, some players have noted the presence of overhead power lines and narrow fairways. However, there are recurring criticisms regarding the behavior of some staff members, particularly marshals, which have affected the overall experience for some visitors.

Great course for beginners! We didn’t feel rushed at all which was great, the lady working in the pro shop was absolutely lovely! The fairways are a little narrow but overall a gorgeous course.

This is a nice course for what it is. Beginner and kid friendly and always fun for a quick 9 holes. Played here many times but my most frequent time (a week ago) the marshal was very rude and trying to rush my group of 4. We were not going slow and were only about half a hole behind, but we had no pressure from the group behind us, by the time we were walking off the green they weren’t even at the tee box yet… but for some reason the marshal lady was very rude and saying we had to do “everything we can to speed up.” I understand she was doing her job, but this is a beginner friendly course and…

This is as easy as it gets-flat, short, not too many places to lose balls. Really enjoyed playing golf at lakeview. It’s only a 9 hole course so easy pleasy.

This is a good course for the family or for new golfers. Suggestion is not to go in with very high expectations. Treat it like a tune-up round to get swinging again. Great for first few times out for the year. Better 9 short holes than nothing before you go for a full 18 somewhere. There are a TON of overhanging wires on the last few holes that are not very well placed, depending on your tee box. Our group hit 3 in a row on the same hole. But it's quick, local city course and cheap. You get what you get. :)

A good 9 holes golf course for newer golfers as there really isn't a lot of hazards to avoid. Course kept in good condition. Helpful staff. However, there's a lot of low hanging powerlines on a few fairways that can interfere with the ball flight.

The perfect place to work on your short game. They keep the holes in great shape during the Summer if you come after 7:30pm you can play for a discounted rate. Seniors get a great discount here and yiu can rent either a pull cart or golf cart too. Even without a discount the prices are quite reasonable and it is easy to book online here.

Lakeview is a simple nine-hole course with no sand traps or water to worry about. If you're learning golf, or you're just looking for a relaxing round, this will do the trick. There are overhead power lines to contend with on many holes, but they don't detract too much from the overall enjoyment.

Played here on a weeknight for their twilight special at 6pm. Was told the course is closed at 7:30 and when we finished at 7:20 the gates were already locked with our vehicle on the other side! Waited over an hour in cold and light rain for a security vehicle to show up and unlock the gate. No response from course management so far is really disappointing.

The par 3 itself is a fun little course that’s well maintained, however, the woman in her late 50s with longer hair working at the clubhouse desk on Saturday, July 12 was extremely unkind, uninviting, and unacceptably rude. I would expect more from a city of Calgary employee… we were disgusted from how she treated our party. Sure, we all have bad days, but don’t take it out on people who are going out to enjoy a sunny day and paying for it. Her employment should be revised.

I don’t like this course too much for a few reasons. No driving range, no par 5’s, only 3 par 4’s then the rest are par 3. One of the holes in 63 yards. Basically just chipping it onto the green from the tee box. Trees make it a really narrow and small course. Half the tee boxes were closed. It was 2 stars not 1 because it’s as expected in the middle of the city

Amber was with out a doubt the worst person I have ever dealt with in my entire golf journey. Me and my friends arrived 2 minutes late, there was a accident on the road, obviously out of our control .. Amber began yelling at us saying “ I’m contemplating letting you even play” when I drove almost 40minutes to play at the course. She then proceeded to say “ walk or nothing “ which we agree to walk. Once we were dropping off our equipment, we can see her in our rear view laughing as she’s making eye contact with us. Will never go there again because of her.
