In summary

Lakewood Shores Golf Club offers a variety of fun and challenging courses with unique layouts, which many guests appreciate, and the staff is generally regarded as friendly and accommodating. However, the resort is currently undergoing renovations after a fire, leading to temporary facilities and some maintenance issues on the courses and in accommodations. While some visitors find the value for money satisfactory, others are disappointed by the outdated rooms and lack of amenities, such as water on the courses and internet in the rooms.

First time visiting as part of a stay-and-play package. You can tell it was a great resort 30 years ago, but not much has been updated since then. The Gailles course needs some love to return to anything special. Sarabella seemed to be better, but could use work. Accommodations were standard, clean motel style. We were with a group and had 4 rooms. All of the light fixtures in all 4 rooms were missing a bulb. Don't know if there was a purpose , but just seemed odd. The temporary set up for the "clubhouse" is working ok while the new clubhouse is being built. The biggest frustration was the…

We played The Gailes and Serradella while staying here. Fun and challenging courses in good condition in October. We'll be back! One note for the resort. Internet for the rooms would be a great addition!

If you’re a golf snob or some high maintenance entitled person you’re going to hate this place. If you’re the type of person that’s looking for a fun weekend with your friends with very reasonable priced golf/accommodations, you’re going to love this place. Yes, some spots on the course are in rough shape, but overall the course is fun and challenging to play. The staff is absolutely incredible while working out of a tent. The clubhouse burned down and they are doing a great job working with what they got. The rooms were clean for the most part and could use some updates, but you’re not on a g…

The rooms aren't bad, just outdated. The staff that take care of the rooms are great, and the location is amazing. Set right behind a practice phase par 3 course, along with 36 holes of 2 completely different courses less that 2 minutes away.

Just know that you pay for what you get. We knew this going into the trip and our expectations were tampered ahead of time. The courses need some TLC to be brought back to life. It was definitely in rough shape in places. Some stretches of the courses really showed what the resort could be/was in its glory days. The rooms were old and straight out of the decade they were built in. But for the price it was totally satisfactory. Definitely not a high end resort though. Keep expectations in check and you'll enjoy your time here.

Played Blackshire Sunday 8-10. There was no water to be had, anywhere. It could not be purchased in the tent that served as a clubhouse. They did not have any and apparently they could not send anyone out to get any. Yet they don't want you to bring in coolers. It was 90 degrees and we could not get any water. This is the first golf course in history without water jugs anywhere, The golf course is in bad shape, tee boxes, fairways, and greens were horrible. What would have been nice is if they told us to play one of their other courses ( which were in better shape).

Would definitely NOT recommend. We made reservations 2 weeks after the fire that demolished the restaurant and clubhouse. They didn't share anything about the fire or update their website so we weren't informed. The course is NOT maintained. The rooms smell of strong deodarizer and are just average. There are only dirty port-a-potties at the tent clubhouse, without disinfectant. The attitude of the staff is unfriendly and unapologetic of the poor state of affairs. While understanding they are going through difficult times, their attitude isn't focused on getting repeat customers.

The rooms were adequate at best. Had to ask for more plates, cups and pans for the kitchen area. The Blackshire course was a big waste of time and money. Crappy tees, fairways and greens. No cold/cool water anywhere on the course or even in the starters shack. The carts were old and dirty. Serradella was fairly well kept but again, no cold/cool water available. DO NOT go near the “comfort station” at 15 tee. Unless you have a hazmat suit. The Gailies was the better kept of the courses on site but the did have the sprinklers on as we tried to play through at 10am Tuesday morning. I would recomm…

Great time and accomodations.....we played balckshire instead of the Gails and that was a mistake .... Balckshire was mostly under water mosquitoes were the absolute worst I've ever experienced...we had spray and used it regularly, didn't get bit but was swarmed every single time the cart stopped absolutely terrible.....play the Gails, and red hawk was an absolute pleasure to play

We played the Saradella and Gailles courses and spent the night in a double room, both courses were nice layouts, the Gailles was in great shape and the Saradella was in good shape, it had a few greens that needed work. It was a great trip, well worth the money. The staff was all very pleasant and helpful, we did have a minor issue with our tee time for the first day, they emailed that our tee time was 10am and when we got there they said it was 1pm, but got us off right away but then our room wasn’t ready until 4pm, so we had to find things to do in town.

You get what you pay for. This place is the cheapest golf trip you could ever find. Accommodations were really gross (bugs in rooms), no services, courses are in poor shape and they attempt to make up for entry price by overcharging for beers and food (when they are there)…..oh and they double booked saturday so we got pushed back and weren’t even able to finish round. if you are unemployed but want to still squeeze in a golf trip with you pals, this is the place for you. Everyone else avoid! I have to go, deciding if i should wash everything twice or just burn all my clothes….

Worst golf course stay and play i have ever used. Golf courses were in terrible condition. Carts were the worst condition bordering on unsafe. Other guests drunkin adventures in the parking lots completely unchecked by staff or security. Terrible service on the course for drinks or snacks. Never going back!
