In summary

Laurel Hill Golf Club is praised for its challenging and scenic layout, well-maintained greens, and comprehensive practice facilities, including a driving range and putting greens. Many appreciate the friendly staff and the course's unique history and setting. However, some visitors have noted issues with course conditions, such as slow greens and occasional maintenance disruptions, as well as concerns about the high cost and pace of play management.

The course was plugged and punched and played as such. Putts were unable to roll true and we got many unplanned bounces due to the dirt plus laying all over the place. Due to the course conditions that is why I said it was not worth the $90 price. See the pics. The other big obvious change was the removal of a ton of trees making the sight line more friendly based on our playing partner comments. The fringe was crunchy and not smooth too. No clean contact area near most greens making pitches and chips very interesting. With this said give this course about three weeks and it will be in amazi…

One of my favorite courses. Little pricey, I'd be prone to play here for more if it was $80 vs. the $99. Fee includes cart and a small bag if balls. Starters were great, pro shop and restaurant were OK. Course was in great shape, only. Only complaint was it was really soft but that was likely all the rain and not a maintenance issue. Couple of blind shots which I'm not a fan of but otherwise plenty of room and no houses smashed on top of it which I love. Lots of bunkers and the rough was definitely rough. GRASS driving range, also has mats, chipping green and nice putting green. Definitely rec…

1st time and very impressed. Nice variety of short, long left, right and uphill and downhill holes. Check in was efficient and the practice facilities are excellent. The course was in very good condition except for 5 or 6 tee boxes that were marginal and 3 or 4 greens with some summer damage. The bunkers have nice sand but it was all packed down from 2 days of rain just before I played. It is a little pricey at $90 on a Thursday

Hard to believe it's still full price! ($109). Good layout but course condition is terrible and has clearly suffered from weather events through the year. Lots of grass in bunkers, too.

Beautiful course, a real challenge that requires shot making. Saturday morning pace was good, 4:15. It's a "golfer's course" if you will--not here for pleasantries, just a good test of your game. Had fun, staff was excellent, when you're feeling good about your game, visit Laurel Hill and test yourself.

Great course. Layout was fun! Long holes. Challenging par 3s! My only complaint was the greens speed. So slow. Brutally slow. This course is one green roller away from 5/5 stars!

Outstanding course for the price, also includes a great short game practice facility and oversize practice green. Laurel Hill is a big brawny course with massive bunker complexes and overall wide fairways. I can be scored on, just be prepared to pay the price if you miss the fairway by looking for your ball in the tall grass. The back 9 also is built right next to a jail.

Course is in great condition, considering how many people play here—tee boxes are very flat and well maintained, greens have minimal divots. A lot of challenging uphill shots, very hilly course, so a few holes play pretty long.

One of the best public courses availabe. They are constantly striving to maintain and improve the course conditions. They do offer memberships which come with preferred tee times so it's hard to book for yourselves...

A beautiful course built on a former penitentiary. Interesting history. Open to the public. Challenging layout that is fair but will punish (with bunkers, thicket, and water) if you don't stay on the fairway. There is a nice driving range, chipping, and putting practice area. The cost is a bit high for a county-owned public course, but it is worth it. The staff are great. The food and drinks are very good, and priced fairly.

Played at 12/12/23. Love the layout of the couse with wide fairway, no houses, around, and a lot of slops. It is well maintained. The stuffs are friendly except that I had to wait few miniutes before the lady to show up to take order for food or drink. Jian

Wonderful course. Pretty challenging. Beautiful layout. Pretty busy, but all courses are right now with covid. I got to pair with a few members that were really fun. All in all it was a great time. I definitely recommend you check it out!
