What People Say

In summary

Legacy Pines Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained greens, unique and challenging layout, and friendly staff, offering great value for the cost. The course provides a scenic and enjoyable golfing experience with a variety of holes and elevation changes. However, some visitors note issues with slow pace of play, occasional overbooking, and maintenance needs for cart paths and golf carts.

4 stars considering cost and conditioning. Low lying property that floods with torrential rains. That said, 18 holes w cart was a very reasonable $27. Greens were smooth and very puttable. Good value here.

Course is in fine shape, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The only drawbacks are the cart paths need some serious maintenance and the golf carts (at least the one I got) was in serious need of help. The tires were bald and the front suspension was sloppy, so the cart kinda just went where it wanted to.

Ownership has sunk a lot of money into improving this course and it shows. Conditions are great and you get terrific value for your money. Lots of variety on the course and some neat holes. Can get busy on the weekends. If they can put in a new clubhouse and restaurant has potential to be the premier public course in the upstate!

Super nice course & unique layout. Drove up from Soda City & man it was worth the trip👍. I play a decent amount of golf in the Midlands & the conditions were better than most courses in the area. AND, their greens were spectacular - great shape & true rolling w nice, challenging undulations 😁. Highly recommend adding this course to your list of places to play👍Super convenient too.

What a GREAT course! It is a hidden treasure! Little hard to get to...man what a fun round! The fairways roll, the greens are true (and green) and finished 18 holes in just over 2.5 hours. The only problem with the course is need to have more yardage markers. I do not carry a laser so I had to guess a few times. Everyone needs to play here. Really good time!

Wow! This was the first golf course I played when I moved to Greenville in 2014. This course has turned around after new management and is easily my favorite course right now. The owners have poured a lot of love and care back into the course and it is playing like it. The course is challenging, but fun, with a good amount of hills and dog legs. Greens are in great shape and are rolling smooth. The par 3's are pretty long, so it is nice to have a little bit of a challenge than the normal 130-160 par 3s. The course is hard to walk due to all the hills, so I would recommend using a golf cart.…

The course is very accommodating and customer focused. They went out of their way to honor the tee time I made through Golf Now, even though they had opted not to renew their agreement with that service. The course itself was the right balance of challenge and forgiveness to make the rounds highly enjoyable. Definitely top notch.

Nice golf club. The surrounding area is very and the 18 holes take you amongst several wooded areas. Nice mix of holes. The difficulty level is quote high bit this seems to come for the distance of the holes rather than hazards. That being said there are several holes with water and sand traps. My only really criticism is that he cart I had was a little dodgy and the greens weren't the best even though I visited I the middle of summer. Too many aeration holes making putting a nightmare. Overall though I would go again.

The course is so good, especially for the price. Played for the first time today (on sanded greens) and I will definitely be returning. The terrain that this course sits on is fantastic and there are many elevation changes that make every shot fun. It actually reminded me of Pinehurst area courses at times. Go play this course!!

The course is in an overall good shape for beginning of the year. I give only 4 stars because the pace of play was just too slow since it seemed overbooked and we had to finish after 4h at Hole 12 due to darkness. But since the personal in the Pro Shop was very friendly and I didn't had to pay for my 9 year old son, we were fine with the round.

Course is in good shape and the service is good also. 2 stars because they drastically overbook and don’t spread tee times enough. On a weekend expect to wait 5 minutes between each hole before you can tee off. Group of 2 took 5 over hours to play 18 with no stop at the turn.
