In summary

The Preserve at Verdae is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. The natural setting and proximity to the Embassy Suites Greenville add to its appeal, providing a convenient option for travelers. However, some visitors have noted issues with certain staff members and the cost of range balls, though these do not overshadow the overall positive experience.

Course is lovely to play and was worth the visit. I booked a hotel and rang the clubhouse as I could lnt book online. Scott took care of me and made sure I had a tee time booked. I arrived the next day and the guy in the clubhouse checked me in. Got my rentals and everything was great. I headed up to the tee box to take in the views ten minutes before my tee time. This is where the Marshall then came over and started asking me what the hell I was doing? I said I’m waiting for my 3.20 tee time. He treated me like a child and spoke to me like dirt. It ruined the whole round me and honestly just…

My first time here was a few months back with a friend just to go to the range. It was ok. I came in with a tee shirt I didn't know I needed a collar shirt but they still let me hit some balls. They just told me I needed one next time I came. I appreciate them not turning me away. My first time playing in this course and it was very enjoyable. One of the more challenging courses I've played at so far in my early golf journey. The greens were great and so was the layout. Everyone was nice and respectful from the check in the to starter. Will try to make it back out here again!

Outstanding golf tournament put on by the Bleeding Disorders Association of South Carolina. The course was in great condition!

Came up with the idea of wanting to play a nice course at least once in every state and me and the golf crew decided to add South Carolina to the list of states we've played in. We picked this course based on its distance to where we live in GA and the reviews and website. The course and staff there did not disappoint. From calling and booking four tee times, to checking in, to instructions on how to approach each hole to just an overall atmosphere of being welcomed to the course was under par (using under par instead of above par since we're referring to a golf course). Occasionally, you play…

Ok course, but it's not a great course. I know by the price they charge, they think it isthe best in the upstate, but there I can think of 3 courses off the top of my head that play better and are better maintained than the Perserve. Finally, to hit a small bag of balls before you play is more expensive than to hit over 100 balls at a way better range, not 10 minutes down the road.

Great golf course. Staff was friendly. The course was in good shape. My only issue was having to hit off mats at the range before the round. Overall, we had a pleasant 3 days golfing here.

Played on 10/16. Pro Shop - Friendly Course - Great shape and a good challenge. Greens rolled fairly quick, fairways and tee boxes in good shape. Carts - Hate parking brake! Overall experience - Will be on my short list when visiting Greenville SC.

Course is tough. Lots of narrow tee boxes and approach shots. Greens we're pretty fast. Clubhouse is good, not big. Pro shop was medium sized, but had what we needed.

In my top two worst courses I've ever played. It is not a pretty course; the grounds are more like a cross between a meadow and a marshy ecosystem. If you want the challenge, go. But please stay in the disappearing fairway 😂 or use cheap balls you don't mind leaving behind. Best part of the visit was the company and the weather!

Everything was amazing as always, except for the waitress at the restaurant in the hotel. She was rude, slow and made us feel very uncomfortable. She obviously didn't want to be there, and was letting everybody there know it. Other than that everybody else was great! The rooms are very well kept. I love the walk in shower in the suite. The food at the restaurant is not only beautiful when brought out but very tasty! The bar staff and drinks were great as was the free breakfast buffet the next morning. All in all a very great weekend at the Preserve!

Overall good experience. Conditions of the course met the expectation that came with the price. Clubhouse was well stocked and had nice staff. Would recommend it if you've never been.

This course is amazing. It can be challenging at times and test you but you definitely feel like you get your monies worth. Everyone was super friendly and the club house is very nice. We will definitely be back. Also this course had an amazing putting green and chipping to practice before to start your round.
