Well, howdy there, folks! Gather 'round and let me tell you about my recent adventure at the Fox Run Country Club in the charming town of Simpsonville, South Carolina. Let me tell ya, it was a real hoot! First things first, the drive up to the club was as smooth as my homemade gravy on Thanksgiving Day. The entrance greets you like an old friend with its picturesque scenery, and let me tell you, the grass is greener than my lawn after a good summer rain. The clubhouse stands tall and proud like a patriotic eagle, ready to welcome golfers of all ages and abilities. Now, let's talk about the c…

A scenic golf course tucked away off the beaten path, yet easy to get to, in the heart of Simpsonville. Plenty of trees, lakes, and ponds, and lush fairways, make for a beautiful, peaceful setting. The clubhouse has a restaurant with bar, and a spacious event space.

Really beautiful course. Enjoyed the layout and challenge and used almost all of the clubs in my bag. If I lived closer I’d play far more often there.

I love everything about Fox Run. The golf course is fun and seems to always be in great shape when I play it. The best aspect is their understated vibe. They keep it simple and don’t try too hard….really hard to find these days at even the top clubs in the US. Great staff and the membership is friendly. One recommendation I’d make is for the club to just use the Fox as the logo and get rid of the text and circle around it. Having a simple, clean logo will add to its mystique and lend itself well to the club’s “keep it simple” mantra. Also will look great on merchandise! This place is a true bl…

An absolute nightmare of a private club experience. I only lasted a year and a half of membership before walking away and forfeiting my initiation fee. The GM and Professional staff want to do as little of their job as possible and stay in their cushy roles. As a new member my questions were often met with short sarcastic responses as if you should already know the answer. If you aren’t one of the “in” crowd that’s connected and could put their jobs at risk, they have no desire to provide friendly service. The staff does nothing to enforce course etiquette beyond a dress code, and they don’t…

Great course. Fairways are in spectacular condition with very fast greens. Employees are outstanding. Only negative is cart path is a little beat up. But still worth every penny. Thanks again for a great day.

Fox Run is in n my top 5 of all time favorite courses - played there regularly in high school, lots of fond memories. It's a challenging layout. Was fortunate to be invited to play this spring (2021). Understand they have new greens, would love to play them. They have a membership drive going now, if I lived there I'd join, $175/month is a great price to be a member there!

Nice "traditional" golf course. Bermuda fairways are in great shape. Greens putt true and seem to break more than you'll read. Back tees offer a real challenge! Nice staff... Will return, if they'll let me!

This course has significantly decline over the last few years. The greens have not be maintained well. The course layout and holes are unique and challenging. Free range balls are great. Location and condition are the only thing holding this course back from being something special.

Pros were very nice and helpful. Course and greens were in great condition for January! Wide fairways, small and fast(but most importantly consistent) greens. None of the pretense that you get at a lot of golf courses.
